My herbalist teacher suggested Stansbury's books on herbalism and he was right. I have an extensive library on the subject and I can count on her books to cover 98% of the herbs on my list of 145 to study. These books cover situations that I have never even heard of, offering remedies and great explanations of how and why the herbs work for various conditions. There are only a couple of other books that rank this high on my list. They are not cheap, but they are definitely worth the investment if you are taking herbal solutions seriously as a course of study, prevention and treatment. But you will need separate books or references on how to grow and harvest them.
