Seiko Men's SKA705 RECRAFT Kinetic Analog Display Japanese Quartz Black Watch

So far the watch has been great! Just an explanation for those that don't know what kinetic is--a kinetic is an automatic with a power reserve that lasts substantially longer (winding mechanism that charges a battery with a 6 month lifespan). The winding mechanism is louder and the vibration is much more noticeable than other automatics. So the very audible sound can be a turn off for some. The battery indicator feature is pretty cool. You press the button and depending on how many seconds it progresses, it shows how much power is reserved. The watch's thickness is affected by the nato strap lifting it even higher. But I recommend this watch. It's attractive, cool and the very bright lumen makes the watch useful in the dark.

For a while now, I've been looking to add a kinetic drive watch to my collection. I love the idea of an automatic movement that doesn't need to be worn every 40 hours to keep it working. This watch was when I bought it was $92.99, which is much cheaper than other kinetic watches I could find. My favorite things about this watch are the display case back (because I love looking at the movement), the low profile of the watch and the bezzle (which does not rotate).My two caveats about the watch are:1) The strap it comes with is very uncomfortable. Looks good but I could barely get through a day with it on before I switched the strap with a black rubber one I had. (Btw its 22mm)2) The orange triangle at the twelve-hour mark looks cheap and printed on compared to the rest of the watch. I feel like they should have left it off, etched it in, or had some sort of loomed marker like most dive watches.Despite those two minor complaints, I really do enjoy wearing the watch, especially on the more comfortable black rubber strap, and the orange triangle isn't a deal breaker. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and appearance of the watch.

Good watch. Although, because the movement charges a battery unlike an automatic, the charging mechanism is slightly louder.

This is a nice piece for the price. Bought it as a birthday gift for my nephew and he likes it.

This watch lasted a couple of years and right after the warranty ended it died. Seiko wanted more than the watch had cost to repair it. I wouldn't buy another Seiko product.

I bought it for my boyfriend and he seems to really like it. We've only had it for a fews days and have noticed that the face scratches pretty easily. Other than he really likes it.

Excellent watch, classy for suit and tie as well as for a field watch. Excellent addition toy collection.

Very nice looking watch of good quality. First time I own a Kinetic watch and I still try to get used to the noise made my the Kinetic mechanism. The black ion-plated case make it to stand out from the shining watch-world out there.It is simple, it works and it charges without the need of a battery replacement. It illuminates in the dark (3, 6, 9 12 hour marks only) and the hour-minute-second hands. It has a see through cap at the back but the view is blocked by the band.Very happy with my choice!

Watch arrived today, it looks really smart and the dark colouring of the watch is a nice contrast to my other watches. I have gone to wearing it straight away. Other have mentioned the noise of the kinetic movement, for me it is hardly noticeable. Very happy and thoroughly recommended at this price.

This watch has held up pretty well for me, and I have also received a few compliments.The glass has gotten a few minor scratches on it, however that isn't all that surprising with the abuse I put the watch through; I'm a tradesperson and I work with my hands a lot. I have worn this watch in the shower a few times and I have also went swimming with this watch on a few occasions. I haven't had any water or moisture seep into the watch, the only reason I don't wear this watch in the shower all of the time is because I don't like wearing a wet watch band. The watch band is pretty comfortable and it has also held up pretty well; however the band does need to be washed every once in a while. I just hand wash the band with some detergent and let it dry overnight. The NATO style watchband is pretty easy to remove, you don't even need to remove the watch lugs to remove the band.
