Great but could be better
Great torch with really good visibility in quite dark enviroments & the added red light feature is very handy in places where i don't want to blind people but still have decent visibility but it still could be improved slightly in places.Improvements:Attach a foam/rubber pad on the front plastic: Wearing it without a hardhat, the front can become uncomfortable when using for extended periods of time this would remedy the problem.Add red leds to the sidelights: Having a red light option is great and very helpful but it could be further improved by having redlights also in the side lights.Better battery cover: The cover for the battery works but it could be vastly improved, such as something better than a cheap bit of ring wire to keep them together.Include the helmet clips: Since this is a torch designed for mostly using with a hardhat i feel it is an oversight to not include universal hardhat clips for mounting the torch securelyTurn off function: Adding a function that allows for rapid turn off is a quality of life improvement I would recommend. A number of torches i've used for work/general use in the past has a function such as hold for 5/10 seconds to turn off without cycling through the options to turn off.(Would happily have paid more for the torch without the improvements, you should consider these suggestions even if it increases the price)~All in all this is a great product, especially for the price whether it is for work or just general use such as walking the dogs at night. After trying a lot of different torches over the years i would recommend this to anyone who uses torches a lot but I would suggest upgrading the batteries (easy to do) if it is being used for extended periods of times regularly (More than 3/4 hours a day). I would also suggest picking up a few extra batteries to swap them in & out incase you forget to charge it/working a long graveyard shift were a torch is needed for most of it.

Excellent for decorating and housework!
Excellent for decorating in poor light conditions. A spin off advantage is that it shows up every single cobweb in your house. If you are optically challenged I strongly recommend buying it to avoid embarrassment when visitors call!! I now periodically do my housework with a head torch.

Good and bad points; on balance handy to have, glad I purchased! Made night dog walks much easier!
Good bits.Fully charged on a dark street you can pretend to be a helicopter search light. Just don't accidentally shine it into someone's window. When walking a dog and they pull to one side, and you turn...I walk my dog at night mostly because, well, she's not the best behaved at the moment, so this has been very helpful! The small red light on the back is good for dark as well.Recently used the flashy setting when stood still waiting for some moron who was driving at the speed of sound, so was more noticeable. It worked. Excellent. Important bit of kit that on dark country roads! The red front light is quite cool, not as bright. The telescopic type feature is good as well, widening or narrowing the beam, and the combined narrow/wide with the duel LED, or just the dual led gives an impressive variability! I do find myself using the different settings often.THE SO/SO:Not so sure about battery life, it's decent, it takes quite a while to charge but it saves externally charging batteries. The straps can be a little difficult to get right on your head. But they're not terrible. A little faffy. Feels unbalanced on your noggin if you don't have them right, too.THE BAD:Discomfort. Have to wear it over a hat of some kind because the plate the light sits on actually feels quite scratchy and kinda digs into your forehead. Can't even quite figure our why, if I can I might fashion up a fix.VALUE FOR MONEY?I'd say so. I've had it a few weeks now and it's gotten a lot of us. Handy to have about the place, too. It's got its good and bads and on balance it's decent. Especially as it's well priced really. It's got a bit of novelty to it, and fully charged in the dark the light is seriously impressive. Moderate dark (street lights etc) it's not too great then (nor arguably do you need it to be...).If I needed it for serious safety stuff though, I'd probably be looking for something else.Longevity, can't account for yet. It's novel, it's charming somehow despite its faults, and the brightness when fully charged and its FULLY DARK never fails to make me chuckle. Seriously. I don't know if its because I've never owned one before, or what? Possibly.Does the job for me.

I don’t usually recommend things but this?! I ABSOLUTELY DO!!
If you’re looking for a torch for checking livestock/horses in the dark, winter is approaching, and soon it’s going to be lambing/calving/foaling season and regular checks through the night are going to be done. THIS IS THE TORCH FOR YOU!The brightness of the white light is incredible, the zoom on the main light is perfect for looking across a field (biggest field I’ve used this in is approx 3acres) so no more trudging around the field in the hopes of finding the horse/pony/cow/sheep etc, the light catches their eyes and you’ve found them! (And if your field is boggy/marshy, you’ll be able to keep your boots on too!)The red light is perfect for getting close without spooking them, and if like me, you have a Welsh A stallion who spooks at.. well everything, even in broad daylight, this is ideal! He doesn’t spook at it, just his companion who looks kinda different. But he’s just quirky. The battery life is incredible too, thankfully! Most I’ve had in the past die after a few hours use, so far, so good! This has been charged once since purchase and still going strong after being used daily for evening checks on the horses.Pricier than most torches but, definitely worth it!Farmer, small holder, equestrian, dog Walker? This is a MUST HAVE for the winter!
