Calico Critters Adventure Tree House

I got this for my kids to add to their calico critters collection. I have a 2 year old girl and 5 and 6 year old boys. The boys have been playing it for over 2 straight hours. The reviews seemed to state that it fell apart easily, but that’s not our experience. It’s super cute, I got it on sale for $26 which is a good price, because it doesn’t have any extra accessories at all. It’s fine for us though, because we already have plenty of stuff to fill it up.

Super fun with Calico Critters. The tree house set has room for critters to play. Not a whole lot of room for furniture, but this isn't a boxy house. There's a slide, a cabin type house, and porch swing. Super cute!

Our 3 year old really enjoys Calico Critters and after looking over the various choices for playsets, we decided to choose this one for the roominess of the compartments (they can hold some furniture and characters) and the variety of activities in one piece. It also is a cute complement to the wooden doll house that our daughter already has - this sits next to it on her dollhouse table.What we love:- our daughter instantly fell in love with it and has played with it regularly since receiving it a few months ago. Characters besides her calico critters are regular guests too.- The attention to detail is very charming.- The inner spaces are roomy enough to fit some pieces of furniture and some characters- The activities work (some with some adjustments - see next section)What we didn't like:- some of the parts need a bit of help to really be functional. E.g. the swing: the strings that suspend it on its branch pop out of the notches quite easily. I added a dab of clear glue at each notch opening and the swing doesn't come unhooked anymore.- some of the pieces don't fit well and/or come apart easily. E.g. the post that suspends the basket pulley - it comes out of its hole with a bit of jiggling. Securing it with strong glue fixed it; same for the tree house on top which just sits on notches - I glued that down too. On the other hand, the large side branch will just not fit securely or flush to the toy no matter how much I try. It stays put when my daughter plays with it, but falls off if a rougher friend handles it.All in all we do like this piece and find it to be fun and cute enough that I would buy it again despite the extras we've had to do to make it more functional. It was definitely an incentive that I got it on a very good holiday BOGO Calico Critters sale on Amazon.

My daughter isn't into the calico critters but she loves the littlest petshop characters. Unfortunately the houses and sets that come with them are flimsy and fall apart after they are built. Because of this she builds her own houses out of things from around our house.. shoe boxes, cloth from fabric, so once I saw the calico critter lodges, houses, furniture, I had to get as many of them as i could for her. She loves them and plays with her little village/town for hours at the dining room table. She now has this, the town home, the discovery forest, the adventure tree house, several of the bedroom sets (bunk beds, sister's loft, lavender bedroom, children's bedroom), the kitchen set, the deluxe living room, and parents bedroom set.

My twin grandchildren, love playing with their little animals in this house.

Granddaughter loved it. The string would not stay on the swing so just a dab of super glue and not it stays put.

My 10 year old daughter has just begun to collect Calico Critters...they are the sweetest creatures I have seen yet!!! I would have LOVED them when I was growing up! The tree house is her first house...it totally suits her personality as an adventuresome girl! So much fun to use the swing and slide!

Mis niños juegan con esta casita.. Está bien hecha y es de buena calidad, lo único que no me gustó fue el columpio que nunca se queda en su lugar creo que el hilo debería venir fijo. Sí lo recomiendo

LOVE this item. My kids play with it all the time. The only part of it I find frustrating is the swing. I think it should have been plastic instead of string to hold it to the tree. I'm constantly fixing it for my kids or just taking it off because it does not want to stay on

Our daughter has several Calico toys already and they are a huge hit.She has spend hours dressing the little animals and re arranging all the furniture.Very durable and easy to assemble.These are the types of toys you buy that can be handed down for generations.Side not: This set DOES NOT come with any critters.

Putting it together took some time and the string that holds the swing etc. is awful. Tangled all the time and didn't stay straight. Fairly sturdy plastic and nice that it will join up with other pieces. 2 months after getting this for Christmas, it sits in her room even though several different characters were bought for her. Perhaps as she grows it will become more desirable as she's only just 3.
