BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S Tire 215/55ZR17 94W (29016)

Used on a lowered Pontiac g6 with 230 horsepower.First things first. These are STICKY. I've driven this car on a number of tire setups, and on turn in they will make Yokohama advans cry. I've run nitto nt555s on an 89 corvette, and I would say they perform only slightly better, but the corvette had a hell of a lot more tire. I'm running 215 55 17s on the 6, I think if I had a set of nittos in that size they would match up quite well. I'll summarize my review for two different audiences.1. THE AVERAGE CONSUMERFor someone looking for a set of tires to replace the worn out ones on your camry, these aren't for you. The tread pattern makes for some road noise, it'll get annoying if you have stock exhaust. Look for tires with straight grooves. Sidewall is stiff, if you live in an area with really bad roads, these may help keep a rim from warping. But you're going to feel bumps you wouldn't feel before. If you live in town and rarely see curvy roads, you're dumping money down the drain. They'll launch, but no better than ordinary tires. If you drive something mildly sporty and want to look the part, you'd be better off with nittos.2. THE DRIVERGet used to weaving back and forth before you hit the corners. These tires don't get overly hot, but when they're cold they're inconsistent. It's harder to tell where the limits are, and usually they break loose sooner. Turn in feels way better than nittos, but if you're used to whipping your ride to the limit and powering out, they'll snap your neck. Bonus points if they're cold, because they'll warm up half a second after turn in and grip that much harder... They're loud, I can hear them over a cherrybomb but I like hearing them reach their limits. Launching is dismal. They'd probably do well on the strip if you got them hot enough, but these tires are corner focused. They navigate gravel well. Slide as you'd expect, they regain traction very well in gravel, smooth, my car bottoms the suspension at a quarter inch of pitch/roll, and they don't break loose when I get there. Traction is honestly scary, I've run them for four months, and they're continuing to amaze me. Also, they aren't wearing fast at all. I still have at least 3/4 of tread left.Would definitely purchase over nitto nt555s.

This was my first time purchasing tires online, and I was not disappointed. Amazon had a better price for this model, including shipping, than tire rack. Excellent delivery by Amazon as usual.As for the tires, they handle excellent in wet and dry conditions. Using them in North Carolina, and driving during spring rainy conditions was superb. Great grip on turns and great stopping/accelerating. They really do grip the road. Be aware that they have a beefy look. The thread continues to side well, so they have a bit of an off-road look to them. They definitely need a good Cleaning and shine, as they looked ashy when arrived. Overall very happy. Thick thread, hope it will last.

I swapped these tires with the OEM Kuhmo Solus tires and what a difference the BFG made to every aspect of driving so far with the exception of snowy conditions..Soooo much quieter smoother and grip.Will update if doesn't preform well in snow.Cant be any worse than the orig which were awful.

If I can get the advertised mileage out of them then they will be the best tire I've ever used.In all conditions tire has been impressive. My braking distance dry or wet has been the most noticeable.To get that kind of grip usually means soft compound which means fast wear -- time will tell.I will rotate/keep an eye on pressures.

Overall I love the tires that are excellent in raining conditions

Best tires I ever had! Put them on my 2014 Honda Accord EX-L V6. I have almost 300HP and these things just stick to the road! I am a very aggressive driver so I push tires to the max. I have yet to find the limits of these guys. Also are very good in the snow!
