If you have an RV with a 50 amp Marinco inlet then you can use this cord in the many situations where 50 amp power is unavailable or unnecessary. This will allow you to leave the heavier and bulkier 50 amp cord in your shore power locker and save wear and tear on it and your back.I use this cord when I have my trailer parked at home and just need to keep the battery charged up, and at about half the campsites I visit. It is much more convenient than a 50 amp cord with an adapter.This cord is reasonably well made with a heavy plastic jacket on the cord and a molded plug to connect to the pedestal. The Marinco end is a genuine Marinco connector. As you would expect, the cord is wired with the two "hot" connectors joined together in parallel just like a 30-to-50 straight blade adapter is wired.

This is my second purchase of this item. I still use the first one on my other RV. This is a great alternative to lugging around the 50 amp cable if you’re not using a 50 amp service. My previous power cable is ten years old and still going strong.

I like the cord but I am returning it as it arrived without a (black) locking ring on the 125/250 volt 50 Amp end of cord set. I need the locking ring plus the blades were severely bent on the 30 amp which I could fix but left alone since returning die to missing locking ring. They are shipping replacement unit. If it arrives with locking ring I will update review. I have other Marinco products and they are great.

4 Stars vs. 5 . . . The cord works as intended, but it is pricy compared to standard 30 amp RV cords. It does allow for convenient hook-up to 30 amp outlets with an RV having a 50 shore power inlet. I suppose if someone stole your ($200) 50 amp cord and 30 amp adapter, the price wouldn't be as big of an issue.I expected a bit higher quality and heft to the cord for the price. Overall I am OK with the purchase.

I bought a used trailer with a cord that was in such bad shape that it was unsafe. I bought this to get me through the winter when I would only need one AC unit. I'm glad I did. It's MUCH lighter than the 50 amp cord I bought in the spring and is perfect for use with my pair of EU2000i generators. The cord is high quality and I expect years of use.

This is exactly what I needed so that I don't have to lug out the heavy, bulky "anaconda" 50 amp Marinco power cord that came with the RV and attach adapter(s) just to connect to a 30 amp power source. Well constructed and MUCH lighter and manageable. Highly recommended!!

I have been shopping for the Marinco adapter to change my 50 AMP cord to a 30. I got tired of hauling my 50 AMP out and trying to put it away. I noticed this cordset. It is only $20-30 more than the adapter and comes with the cord. Good deal. Although I think the Marinco pricepoints are extremely high, I have no choice because the manufacturer of my 5th wheel installed the Marinco connector making it exclusive.

Great cord,very convenient,This cord works great where only 30 amp power is available. It is much lighter and more flexible than a standard 50 amp cord. It is light enough my wife can handle it.The cord is far more flexible in cold climates than other black RV cord sets. Eliminating the dog bone adapter means one less connection that has to be made.Typical Marinco high quality. No negatives experienced yet with my 30 amp or 50 amp Marinco cords
