Amazing espresso scale
This small scale is amazing. I have been using it every day for 6 months and it did not even deplete one bar of battery health. Works consistently great. And cheap. I was right that you should not pay over 20 bucks for an espresso scale!!!

Very practical. I love it.
I have another scale that is sensitive at .3 gr but really its more .5 gr I was ok with it but got tempted to get another one specifically for my pour over. Criteria: sensitivity at .1 gr; rechargeable; small and with timer.I love the timer, the quickness to set the tare. The only "downside" is that the button are digital and not physical (better sense of it). But it is a little price to pay. I am happy with this one.

5 for customer service
4 for the scale, 5 for customer service. Decent accuracy, rechargeable, functional, compact. Mine failed after 10 months and the seller sent me a replacement with no hedging, quickly at no cost.

Broken after 3 months - Recovered with full power cycle by disassembling
When it was working, it was great. However, it no longer powers on after 3 months. Was working fine one night, then the next morning, doesn't turn on.Edit: Took it apart to look at the solder joints and even x-rayed it; aside from not the cleanest soldering job, nothing wrong was observed. Measured the battery and it was fully charged. On a whim, decided to unsolder a battery lead and solder it back on to give it an actual power cycle... what did you know... it came back on. Since it's advertised as rechargeable with an internal battery, there's no easy method of unplugging the battery and plugging it back in. Not everyone is able to take it apart to unsolder and resolder a battery lead, so I will keep it at 1 star.

Would recommend
quality item with coffee/espresso focused features. Weighs in grams or ounces. Stopwatch goes up to 10 min. Works for basic kitchen use like measuring ingredients (although of smaller size considering scale dimensions and max capacity of 1,000 g). Pretty accurate - displayed correct weight for US coins.

Score! What a deal, what a bargain. Does what you need to refine your coffee thing.
This thing is tiny, just large enough to hold a cup or a tray of beans. Good size.I have other kitchen scales that rest on rubber feet, so all 4 of the feet on those scales need to be on a level surface for it to read accurately. Not so easy if you're sticking the scale on your espresso machine's drip tray. This scale has a flat bottom, no feet that have to be in firm equal contact, so you can use it on an irregular surface- like your drip tray.It is backlit! Turn it on, the display is very clear, high contrast, brightly and automatically backlit, numbers and letters are large. Readability 10/10. That's a super plus when you're pulling that early morning shot or brewing that cup in a dark kitchen and you're half asleep.Reads ounces or grams, to a decimal point. Easy to switch between each with a single button press. Max capacity is 1kg.Timer button works as required. Press it, it flashes once then starts to measure to the 10th of a second. Hit the button again and it stops and displays the time, hit it again and it re-sets to zero. There is not a pause/ resume function capability in my observation.Tare function sets to zero very quickly. It is, IMHO, very cool looking. Understated, modern.I have a 100 gram calibrating weight used to check the accuracy of scales. It shows exactly 100 grams with this scale, so it is accurate to at least a half a tenth (0.05). That's pretty good, that's less than one coffee bean. According to the included instruction sheet you can re-calibrate it if needed, there is a procedure listed but it references a chart that was not included so that part is not clear. But, a non-issue I think, I use digital scales for a living in heavy use environments (professional kitchens), I've never needed to re-calibrate any of them. So, for the cost that this thing is currently selling for, if you have even an inkling that you want to measure and dial in your coffee brewing/ espresso making thing, get one and do it. What's your goal? 18.5 grams of coffee for 30 seconds to a final shot weight of 35 grams? Whatever it is this device gets you there. We live in a marvelous time, where high quality tools like this are available so inexpensively.
