This book is amazing. I read it all in one go, laughing and nodding as I went. J Alexander is, not surprisingly, strong, straightforward, and a seemingly wonderful individual. Individual being the key word. He has lived his life the way he wanted from day one. His story is inspiring, his advice is common sense and real. He is also funny as heck.I highlighted several sections of his words of wisdom that I know I'll refer back to. You read it and wonder how you didn't already know this. That's what makes it so great. I would love to be his friend, what a positive, honest, and transformative effect he would have!I wish nothing but the best for this man and I hope he finds peace and joy for the rest of his days. I think I'll go walk the nearest runway (ok, hallway) and work on my strut.

I read this book, not so much for the advice per se, but to get to know Miss J. I have followed America's Next Top Model from at least Miss Eva's cycle. Was that in the early 2000s?What a delightful and rather quick read (too quick). I laughed and laughed at some parts. Miss J's story is both heartwarming and inspiring. I got some great takeaways from this book. I especially enjoyed the story of how the Universe provided an apartment for over 14 years when things looked bleak. I also enjoyed the runway tales. Thank you for sharing your story Miss J!

The book is funny and full of tips, but i knew already most of them. If you're looking for something fun and realistic, then this book is a good choice. the author's writing is really real-life. It makes me feel like actually having a plain sympathetic conversation with miss.J . I pretty enjoy this book.

I had low expectations when I bought the book, having bought it because J. Alexander, Miss J, is on America's Next Top Model. But I was pleasantly surprised. The book is well written and inspiring with good advice sprinkled throughout. Though little is mentioned about the TV series, his recollections of growing up, visiting the famous Studio 54, and later becoming a runway coach was very interesting. Being a rather short book, I quickly read through it over a couple of days.

This man is fierce, funny, and smart. I learned a lot in this book. I love watching him on America's Next Top Model, but really knew nothing more about him. So, I was thrilled to be able to read this. If you looking for fun stories with some fashion advice then pick this up! Maybe you'll find you've become a little more fierce!

I am a bit ashamed to admit I love ANTM, for I'm heading towards 40. Ok, that's not entirely true, I'm 36. Still. So, after this big confession, I can easily tell you now that one of the reasons I love the show so much is because of Miss J. He's always witty, can be hysterically deadpan, and though it took me a season or so to getting used to him, the show wouldn't be the same without him.When I stumbled across this book, the first thought was: gotta have it.And I must say, I wasn't disappointed at all. The man has got some pretty wise things to say, and he says them in a manner-of-fact manner, which I can relate to.Just too bad I am, like I told you, already 36 and his wisdom and advices, well, I stumbled across them myself the last 20 years.But boy! I would have given up my hamster to have read this book when I was 13.I really do. Because in my teens I was this tall, skinny, awkward looking girl, who didn't look nor behaved like any of the other girls at school. I felt so different. I believe that with this book, I would have felt more secure about myself, my life, my whole being. J. Alexander delivered a book which I think is a must read for every girl and boy out there who feels insecure about, well, nearly everything. Because you can live and find out for yourself, or you can read this book and save yourself a couple of years in which you can not only be fabulous but also feel fabulous.O, and there are some juicy details in the book that you just don't want to miss...

It was an entertaining read for anyone wanting to get to know Miss J and I definitely recommend this book!

Before I've bought this book I thought it could clue some technical secrets about poses, walk, manners, make-up and clothes, but Miss J talking about all these things has made them just much easier to understand and to appreciate in other people, to be proud of yourself in a good sense and keep searching for the best ways where you could reveal your individuality and be happy. Yes, he gives many advises which I'll remember, yet he goes more in core of the things, making the book more spiritual and interesting. Now I know Miss J much more as a person, not just a couch at ANTM, and will look forward to his next book!

This book was a lovely read. J is every bit as engaging/funny/serious as he is on top model. He opens up about his family, history, attitudes and philosophies in a classy, candid and easy manner. Despite some of the hard topics he covered, it was easy to read, and I love his attitude to life. I thought the advice he gave was incredibly sound and I hope other women and girls read this and take his healthy approach to life to heart. It was just the right length, and if he writes another book I'll be buying! Congratulations on producing a good book!

Loved this book, couldn't put it down. He has led a fascinating life. Despite his fame he is very humble. Lots of great life lessons mixed in with the life story.

Love this book! I read it from cover to cover the moment I got it then started reading it again. Superb insight into Miss J’s life with some great tips along the way.

Jay Alexander writes with passion and warmth and I really liked him more when I had finished his book. This isn't a deep read, but I found it inspiring and fun. Recommended!

I could NOT put this book down, and I finished it all with in one long whole-day sitting! I wanted to get up and do things, but this book wouldn't let me!I really appluade Miss J for this book. It's nothing other than fabulous! I would give it 6 stars if I could!
