Great project, nice smell and easy application.

I'm a male with very thick straight brown hair... just so you know who's using this.Prior to using this product I had only used Aussie Total Miracle Restoring Oil and American Crew Forming Cream as hair products, so that's my basis for comparison. Typically I leave my hair short, but since growing it out a little bit (it's probably 4-5 inches) I started needing to put something in it to keep it in place a little, so I tried the Aussie oil and the Scotch & Porter Hair Serum.The Aussie Total Miracle Restoring Oil is amazing and leaves my hair soft, but doesn't provide any hold. The Scotch & Porter Smooth & Shine Hair Serum gives just a little hold and leaves the hair just as shiny, if not maybe a little more than the Aussie oil.It does make it just a little greasy (just a tiny bit) but that provides a little bit of hold that I kind of like. It's just enough to keep the little stragglers from hanging down onto my forehead.Overall, it makes my hair look great, but you need to be ok with the greasy part, otherwise go with the Aussie Total Miracle Restoring Oil.

I bought this product along with the shampoo and conditioner for my boyfriend and they all work so well together. His hair became so soft, moisturizing and defined his curls so nicely, it was a total change from hair original hair routine. I will definitely buy more of this for him.

To get an idea of my hair type, I'm half Cherokee. My hair is black and coarse.I got this bottle for $20 at Walmart. I shave my head, so this was intended to be a substitute for my beard oil.It's very moisturizing and has a pleasant, clean scent. It's a little thicker than beard oil, and it's a tad bit messy. The pump is fine, but it's runny despite being thick.It takes about an hour after applying before I can touch my beard again without getting my hands oily. It DOES moisturize and leaves my facial hair soft for the rest of the day.Overall, it's okay. I would rate it higher if it were $5-$8 cheaper, and it won't be replacing my Cremo beard oil.(I know Scotch Porter also makes a beard serum, but it wasn't available in the store.)
