Design Toscano Touco The Tropical Toucan Sculpture on Ring Perch, 18inch, Black

I love the size and colors of this bird. He is heavy and seems well made. I also like the fact that he bolts to the round hoop. He came very well packaged in a large foam box. He’s a great addition to my patio. I did not notice at first but he does have a small broken spot on the end of his break I had already threw the box away he came in so it would be hard to return him.

He is the missing piece to my front porch I never knew I needed. It came packaged very well, like an art piece. I've only had it a few months so we'll see how durable he is hanging on the porch in a couple hours a day of Florida sun. So far so good.

I was pleased with the quality of the toucan. It seems very sturdy and should last for many years. The painting was well done and the colors are vivid. If it can hold up to the Arizona elements for more than a few seasons, I will be very happy!

This is my 3rd tropical bird purchase from the Design Toscano team. Purchased to give the new condo a tropical vibe. Unlike the macow and parrot the Toucan comes w a perch ring and a 3 " chain which presented a problem in mounting.Was not sure if I wanted to extend the chain and hang from the ceiling or attach to a wall bracket ( which I chose )Really dig the "tropical" vibe and may still purchase the hanging blue parrot soon.These birds look cool.MahaloDES

Toucan looks great, very detailed! One thing though, do not use a wrench to tighten the nut under the bird, or it will pull out of the resin, which happened to me. I was able to super glue it back on, then gently screwed the nut by finger yet still not too tight, just enough to hold it in place. Take it real easy with that nut, it's the only problem you might run into.

I have a tropical backyard and this bird makes the look that I have been attempting to finalize. My only criticism is that the mounting system needs improvement. After returning one the next one was perfect so I'm sure the manufacturer can make an easy fix. Someone put a lot of work into creating this realistic looking bird

I read all of the reviews before purchasing this item. I was very very careful in connecting the nut on to the bolt. The item was hanging under my tiki bar for about 30 hours and became loose at the mount. I carefully retightened the nut by hand and the bolt popped out of the hole. So I clean the hole out and reset the bolt with gorilla glue and let it dry for 24 hours. Then I tried reconnecting the nut and the same thing happened again. There’s no way to fix this thing; so I tried screwing it in and there’s just nothing to grab on to inside the bird. What a really bad idea in this mounting system. I’ve since put the heavily damaged bird in the trash. Expensive lesson to be learned here.
