Sturdy but easy to assemble
This is a nice little cage. I have a ~5lb mini rex bunny, and while I'd never confine her to it (much too small), it makes a good "hutch" for her to rest in. I opted to not put the bottom grating in and just leave the litter pan uncovered in the base. This doesn't affect the stability of the cage, as the bottom grating is simply "dropped in" as the final assembly step. The shelf provided is about the exact length and width of my bunny, so while she doesn't really sit on it, I place her daily vegetables on it and she's happy to eat off the platform. This allows her to both eat and use the litter at the same time - which is a bun's favorite dual activity, as far as I can tell.I'm a 5'5 female-bodied individual with mild RSI and I was able to assemble this cage solo in under an hour (it took me longer than necessary because I kept putting pieces in backwards - not the instructions' fault, I just got sloppy). The only part that provided any difficulty was attaching the caster wheels at the bottom - two of them I was able to push in flush with just my hands. Two I needed to use a rubber mallet to get the last 1/4 of an inch in. Not a big deal and probably someone with a little better wrist strength probably would have managed fine.A few of the cage bars came slightly bent/curved, but this doesn't affect the cage stability or function. At most, it made a few of the gaps between bars maybe 1/2 inch wider than intended - no big deal for my bun, but if you were keeping tiny mice in the cage it might cause issues?Overall a very nice cage, especially for the price.

Great Cage for Rats
I have been eyeing a new cage for my rats for some time. I have 2 fat boys so bar spacing isn't an issue. The bars on this cage are great and would probably be ok for females too. There is a metal grate on the bottom floor that you can omit and it will not compromise the structure or integrity of the cage. I would suggest leaving this piece out to keep from having any surprise broken legs. It's just not safe. It's smaller than a single unit Critter Nation, so if size is an issue for you, this may be the way to go. However, it's not so much smaller that there isn't enough space for your rats. The cage calculator says 4 rats can be held in here, but for me, it's 2 tops. My boys have JUST enough space. I wouldn't ever put a ferret or chinchilla in here unless it was just for sleeping. You have to be a little imaginative with how you place hammocks and such in here because of the second level, but it is a great spacious cage. The door is wide and open enough to easily clean. Nothing about cleaning this cage is difficult, which is wonderful. Assembly was also decently easy. Slightly frustrating as yes, things don't always line up well. But it's only frustrating, not impossible. It too make maybe 20 minutes to assemble the whole thing.

Good cage.
I bought this cage for my two ferrets. Yes, cage might be too small for two ferrets, but my ferrets are getting old and they are not too active. They had a big cage before and they were not using all this space at all. They prefered to sleep in one corner. Plus, one of my ferrets has a bony cancer now so it's hard for him to get on the very top level and he falls down the stair (cage stair) occasionally and i decided that he will do much much better in a smaller cage. So this size works great for me, and I do let them out of the cage often. But if you have two young active ferrets that play and don't just sleep in their cage, i would recommend getting a larger cage.So about the cage. Overall, I believe that there is no such thing as a perfect cage for ferrets. A perfect cage would be having a slot for litterbox that is leveled with the rest of the floor and bottom sides covered (for the poop not to get outside the cage on your floor). Most of the plastic bottoms are not as good. Plastic absorbs urine and starts to stink as hell with time. My older ferrets miss their litterbox sometimes (ferret that has cancer has a problem getting his feet up in the right spot, so he just backs out until he hits a litterbox outside corner and poops right next to in and not in it). This cage has a potential to be ferret proof!!! What i did is removed the wire bottom part and installed a wood piece that covers half of it and placed a baking pan that is 16 x 12 inches. It is used as a litter box and is leveled with the wood piece. i keep some tiny things stored below in the plastic insert. When it comes to cleaning i just remove the pan, clean it and insert it back. Also, I covered walls with plexi glass around areas like litter box and food so that nothing falls out on the floor.About installation: Although it is very easy to assemble the cage I had one issue that almost made me exchange it for another. There are parts that need to be snapped in a right spot and one of those parts had a manufacturing defect, there was a tiny piece of metal that prevented these part from snapping together. It was clearly a defect and i had a hard time putting those parts together. I almost gave up, but then I took a nail file and sanded this area. it took about 30 minutes to sand it and make it small and smooth for the parts to snap together perfectly. I didn't want or have time to re-order the cage and send back the original, so it was a good problem solving that worked.

A great cage
The cage is of a really good quality. The only thing is that it is too small.

Quick and easy assembly and very sturdy.
Very good product. I got it as a transport for my cat for a long move. It is bigger and better than a normal cat carrier as I can put a cat litter tray in the bottom, after I as some easy modifications. Plus it fits nicely in the backseat of my truck quite with lots of room for the dog or other people.

Great cage, but a bit of a pain to assemble
This cage is perfect for my two rats, it's spacious and the bars are very close together so they can't get out which is great! However, some parts of the assembly were a bit difficult and I had to use quite a bit of force to get them to go in. But all-in-all, it was worth the money and my rats love it!

Perfect!
Really pleased with this. Super easy to build (and I’m rubbish at DIY!) and it’s really sturdy. Not big enough on its own for rats or ferrets in my opinion, but I’m using it as a base for my other cage to sit on top of - for this it is perfect. The wheels are great and allow me to reposition the cage as and when needed. Definitely recommend!
