Supremepetfoods Hazel Ham Food, 2-Pound

I know this is great quality hamster food, but there's a lot in it that mine don't eat. I only use this as part of their diet, the rest is an assortment of rice & grains I get at the natural food store supplemented with fresh greens & fresh or frozen blueberries. Mine love kale, broccoli, dandelion leaves & flowers and even the seeded stalks of grass left to grow out.I presoak & lightly cook hard grains & wild rice then freeze in a baggie, & sometimes I sprout the grains. My hammies seem to like it much better than hard & dry. If you're picking fresh, find a list of foods that are hamster safe & be sure it's not sprayed with anything or from a roadside. Always wash food picked outside. I've never had a problem with loose bowels, but also don't put in too much fresh greens at one time.When this bag eventually runs out, I probably won't buy a commercial mix again.

My daughter did her homework and decided that SupremePetFoods Hazel Hamster Food was the best hamster food for her pet. She wouldn't consider the other pet food at the pet store. No, we had to get it here on Amazon. Well, it is colorful and the hamster seems quite content. The little creature squirrels it away so that I don't ever see much in the bowl. It must be good.

I like to use this as well as "VitaSmart Complete Nutrition". The only thing I don't like about this is it doesn't contain any sunflower seeds, which is a important part of a hamster's diet. I just bought a big bag of sunflower seeds at a very low cost, as I would do the same EVEN if you do add another hamster mix with sunflower seeds, because it usually isn't enough (I feed my hamsters about 6 sunflowers seeds per 3 days).

This is the BEST AND HEALTHIEST hammy food out there! I would give it a 5 if there wasn't any corn or smashed peas. Please pick out the corn, smashed corn, brown pieces, and smashed peas. the brown pieces don't hurt them, they just HATE them, so if you are giving the brown pieces and they are not eating them, its because they don't like them!

This hamster food is one of my Syrian hamster's favorite hamster food. She absolutely loves eating the big pieces and enjoys breaking some bits of the huge peanuts every once in a while. I really like how this food doesn't seem to have too much "filler food pellets" because my hamster absolutely refuses to eat those.

Marigold, my Syrian hamster, chows down on this food. Many hamsters don't seem to care for the pellets and leave them alone. Marigold is one of these hamsters. Luckily, the pellets make up such a small portion of the bag's proportions that it's not as wasteful as other brands of hamster specific food.

Prior to bringing home my little hamster buddy, I did a lot of research on nutrition. Hazel Hamster seems to be the only brand that is actually being recommended. Most small animal foods combine the nutrition for hamster and gerbils together, but Hazel Hamster is specially developed for hamsters. I've had three hamsters so far and they do pick out some of the pieces, but they enjoy it overall. My first hamster, Panko, lived to her full three years on this food.

This may be the healthiest hamster food on the market today. I did tons of research on hamster diets before purchasing this bag, and concluded that there arent any perfect meal mixes out there Hazel Hamster definitely has the best mix. My winter white tends to leave the brown stick shaped pellets and orange circular pellets alone, I am guessing because he doesn't like them. I overcome this problem by only serving 1/2 tbsp and waiting until the entire dish is empty before serving again.
