Nice material and strong grip but come out easily when pulled wihot damaging hair which is ideal for a young child and baby hair. Only thing that bothered my was both loops and tails of the bow aren't on the same side I.e. loop and tail each side which means no matter which way you put it in, it looks like it is upside down
