Samsonite Unisex-Adult Windguard Auto Open Umbrella

I live in the Pacific Northwest where it rains a lot and is windy during storms. I have had a "windproof" umbrella for years that eventually wore out and wanted a new one, but one that was more compact than my old one. This is very nice. It isn't as compact as I expected, but will still be easier to carry than the old one. It folds up to about 16 1/2 inches and will fit in my personal shopping bag when I take the bus downtown. When it pops open it is a full sized umbrella. Though I haven't used it yet, it appears to be sturdy and easy to open and close. It will be interesting to see if it is truly "windproof" like my old one.

I purchased this product solely based on the fact that I was tired of my Wal-mart umbrellas breaking every year. I did my Amazon research and decided for the price, reviews and brand that I would purchase this.I first used the umbrella on a cruise. I looked into the weather before debarkation that we were going to have a light/medium downpour all 4 days in the Caribbean. The size was also perfect for my luggage as it lays flat and not round.I do live in the mid-west and our weather changes by the minute. I wanted something to keep in my car for those minute changing situations. This umbrella is everything I've ever wanted. My last umbrella didn't have the windguard and was constantly flipping inside-out during heavy winds.The color is exactly as you see. It comes with a sleeve for nice storage. it has two Velcro straps that hold even when it was soaked. The easy open feature is nice and works perfectly.I would recommend this product weather you live in little/heavy rain areas. It also provided nice sunshade; which is an added bonus!

Purchasing an umbrella should be relatively straightforward, but it's not and a lot of them seem to have one problem or another.Thankfully, this is pretty much a great umbrella all around. It's the perfect size for one, sturdy, holds up to wind and rain very well and fits easily into a medium sized backpack. Two people can fit in, but it will be not be effective.

Best umbrella for the cost. I enjoy this umbrella because of the bright colors, easy to hold handle, perfect size (not too big for a bag, yet keeps your covered), easy open/close button, double wind-proof slits (perfect for Chicago and Seattle) each with a velcro closing strap. I love that it comes with a little pouch to capture any run-off water versus dripping water over the floors. This is my second umbrella of this sort. Luckily, I lost the first versus having it break. Sturdy and reasonably priced.

It thinks is a large umbrella, it is for a travel size Easy to deploy with one hand. I think the auto close feature is a misprint, this umbrella does not fold and put itself away.Good sturdy construction, high quality fabric, easily stored in my computer bag and passed through TSA three times - no issues. I have used it in a Florida downpour, Atlanta downtown rain with swirling winds and a Oregon shower. Works perfect everytime.

I travel a lot and am very tired to have to replace cheap travel umbrellas way to often. I decided to do some research and come up with a quality travel umbrella. This is it! They were a little more expensive than I wanted, but when I got them, I couldn't believe the excellent quality. They are a little larger than my past travel umbrellas and will not fit into my travel purse or coat pocket, but it is worth having for the quality. I highly recommend these umbrellas.

First, let's start off with the good. It's a lightweight and great size umbrella that not only covers me but most of my backpack as well. It seems good in the wind although I haven't experienced any extreme gusts here in Alaska. In addition, one or two shakes and the rain is off the umbrella making it almost completely dry. Now for the bad. I would have quietly contacted the company regarding this issue but Amazon left me no option. The little plastic holder at the very top of the umbrella broke after my first use. It was lost and then recovered a week later. I managed to screw it back on but the plastic screw is stripped and broken so I have to tighten it frequently. This is not what I expected from Samsonite. It's a shame that i didn't inspect this umbrella prior to leaving for Alaska but I expected the same exceptional quality control that they put into their luggage.

It was a gift for my girlfriend she loved the color and the wind breaker is pretty strong. The quality is really good and doesnt look like a cheap material. Samsonite relly nailed with with that feature. She is been using it daily since i bought for her 2 months ago and the umbrella looks like new still.. definitely would recomend this item.
