No, you would need special plasterboard high load carrying fixings.

I need to fit them on a brick wall in my garage, can anyone advice which screws and rawl plugs would I need? Thanks

I used 100mm x 6mm standard screws into large 7mm standard wall plugs. The rack has been up a few months FULLY loaded with oak. I've had no issues. The thing to remember is that the force is a shear force down the plane of the wall so the pull out force on the plugs is not the critical factor IMHO. Any good quality heavy gauge screws or bolts should suffice with decent tight fitting plugs
