[WPW10312696 Valve OEM Mania] W10312696 WPW10312696 NEW OEM Produced for Whirlpool Kenmore Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve by Robertshaw Replacement Part

The valve was fairly easy to install. Not enough data was provided to make testing an easy procedure (i.e. actual Ohm values of the coils in the two solenoids). Since replacing the valve did not solve my ice maker problem, I am thinking if I had actual resistance values to measure the old valve I probably wouldn't have purchased this one...

This is a replacement part . I bought it because it is a Robertshaw part which is half the OEM PRICE. So far it is working well and the exact replica of the OEM.

The part matches the original in my refrigerator. I was replacing the part because my ice maker will not fill with water to make ice. It was kind of simple to install. Disconnecting and reconnecting the water lines were the most aggravating part of the whole process. When I finally got it installed the ice maker still isn't working and now the water dispenser drips after dispensing. Time to put the old part back in because apparently that was not the issue AND the old part didn't leak water from the water dispenser.

This was an exact replacement for the solenoid in my Whirlpool counter depth side by side that was in my 2015 Tiffin Allegro Bus. The ice maker started leaking ice and water would drip out the ice dispenser and sheet into ice in the ice maker. Replacing this solenoid fixed this issue. The price for this part is all over the map, I saw it as high as $160, I think they are pretty much all the same. Like I said this one looked OEM and identical other than some sticker differences. Very happy with purchase. This was a Robert Shaw part that arrived with nice red box and wrapped in sealed bag.

Not sure why this thing is so loud but every time it dispenses water you clearly hear it click on and almost make a vibrating sound which rattles the entire fridge. Works but I wouldn’t buy again.
