I started to feed our cats this food after getting educated on raw diets. It only takes about 10 minutes for it to absorb before feeding. I've noticed our cats are healthier weight and softer fur. Better price here than pet stores.

I decided to try Steve's Real Food products - 2 Turducken & 1 Fish. Honestly both freeze dried dog foods are exceptional, and my Doberman puppies go crazy for both meals! The puppies are doing really well and eagerly finish their bowls. So I do plan on using this product mixed with a little baked quality kibble until they go to their new homes. However I do have full grown hungry Dobies, and I couldn't possibly afford to keep them fed with Steve's products. Big dogs simply eat more. I understand that the required amount of food might be less with high quality nutrition... but doing the math - I still couldn't keep up with approximately $2.00+ per ounce cost depending on the flavor. This might be a better option for those feeding small canines. Just my two cents... :-)

This dog food is great compared to other raw freeze dried dog food we've tried. You can see the veggies in the nuggets of food, it absorbs water much faster than other brands I've tried. My dog can tell a difference and always gets so excited for meal time when she see's us grab this bag.

This is a base meal for my dog and cats. You must rehydrate with water or broth before feeding. I make a homemade raw meal to add to it, but Steve's is actually a complete food!

Please understand I'm not saying this to be anything other than a point of reference. Savannahs aren't cheap. Even a later generation like my boy, Sakima, was still 4 figures, just not that silly money 4 figures. I only say this so you know that if someone is willing to invest in a cat like that, then you're going to want the best for that cat. So I've been in search of for the past month and a half trying to find a good raw dehydrated. I'm not going to name what brand I was almost decided upon until this very day. Yes, I know it's dehydrated and it needs to have fluids added, before anybody makes that observation. But, Sakima for some reason, likes the other one dry. So I filled the bowl with equal number of dry pieces to make it a fair comparison. I will let pictures speak for themselves. For context, that picture of him with the bag in his mouth was taken about 3 minutes after he just ate. Not to mention he was also in the Amazon box with the other bag was before the realizing the freshly opened one was sitting there. Sorry it's long, but I hope this was helpful.

I think it is a good product but way too expensive.
