At 7 years old, the regular size Type R would probably be a better scooter for your son. The Type R Mini is a premium option for younger or smaller children who are interested in freestyle scootering. Bought mine for my 5 year old. Seems to be a perfect fit. It would be a bit small for my 10 year old, but he would still ride it. Should be ok for a few years and would be more enjoyable to ride than one that’s too big.

How do I take off the back wheel when the Allen bolt is so tight? And the deck plug doesn’t allow me to use the wrench

I'd recommend using a flat head screw driver to try and hold the nut in place. You can wedge a flat head screw driver against nut to stop it from moving. If your deck plugs are broken, please reach out to us and we can send a new set. Thanks!
