Why does someone say there is lye in this goats milk soap, when it does not state it under their ingredients

No Lye, No Soap! Sodium Hydroxide (lye) is necessary to make soap. Oils + Water + Lye -> SoapAfter the saponification process, no free lye is left in the soap, it's all gone through the chemical reaction to make become soap. :)

can I add some almond oil or jojoba oil to the melted soap base? If yes, what's the max amount?

I have added almond extract (for fragrance), and it works just fine. I use other essential oils too, and they work for me. I don't measure, but a teaspoon for every 2 cups or so should work if you want to add the oil for the fragrance. If you want to add it for some other reason, I would suggest you don't do it because the soap base is just perfect the way it is.

Are your products free of animal testing?

The label lists the ingredients on the block of Goat’s Milk soap but it does not indicate anywhere on the label whether it is or is not tested on animals.

How long can I store this soap base? Want to use around Christmas time.

I had mine on hand for at least 2 months before I used it. It is such a high quality soap. I really think it would be fine to wait until Christmas, but check with the manufacture if you are really worried. about it.
