A magnetic kitchen timer needs two things. Be simple to operate and stick to common surfaces. I’ve had many magnetic timers that just slide down the front of the fridge. This one sticks. My refrigerator has a slight pebble surface that seems to defeat many magnetic timers but not this one.This timer is simple to operate with only 3 buttons. It advertises as touch screen. That may be misleading. In reality it has 3 buttons they are simply mounted behind the LCD screen. So you touch the screen to operate the buttons. It is always on. It starts out dim but readable. As soon as you touch a button the backlight lights up. A very bright blue. You set the timer buy pressing the minute or second buttons to advance the time. If you need to lower the time you press both buttons to clear the timer and then advance the time to what you want. You then press the Start/Stop button. After a bit the backlight goes off but the timer is still readable. The alarm has a nice loud volume. Press the Start/Stop button to silence or it will turn itself off after a bit. Once stopped the timer resets the time to the last used. If the Start/Stop button is pressed while set at zero it works as a count up timer.(Edit) After more use I find one thing I need to change in my review. The volume of the alarm is fine if you're in the same room. But if your in another room, even an adjacent room with door open the alarm can be hard to hear.

Has held up to 11 months of use in kitchen including dropping it. Took a while to figure out: Touch M and S at same time to reset to 0. Then touch M to increase time by one minute, S by one second. Touch ss to start/stop the timer that decrements the time.Rings just loudly enough to hear well in the room. Letter are big and easy to read. Touch sensitivity works well, easier to use than buttons. Backlight turns off automatically to save battery power. Has a little flip-out stand.Simple, inexpensive, reliable kitchen timer.

AWFUL. We went ahead and purchased this timer after reading the good and bad reviews. Should have listened to the bad. The display is a cheap digital display, like days of old, soft pliable to the touch, blurry from side angle. The ringer is too LOW, definitely would not be able to hear from adjacent room (well, maybe - if door was open and house was silent). we could barely hear it when we were working right in the kitchen (normal kitchen noises of running water, hood fan). Only good part of the design is the flat back w/ magnet... so it IS easy to set w/o knocking it off the surface you have stuck it on.

Pros:- Strong stable magnet, won't fall off if pressed hard (replacing one that did)- Aesthetically pleasing- Solid build- Easy to useCons:- Weak alarm, the sound hole is actually placed at the back of the timer, so if it's magnetized to a surface the sound is lower. If put on the stand it's still pretty low compared to other timers I've used. So if you're exhaust is on, playing relatively loud music etc, you might not hear it especially if you don't have the best hearing (for you old folks :D)- Stand is flimsy. Seems like it'll break eventually if I'm not careful every time I use it.- Uses two AAAs. Would've been nice if it's just one.Other:- Minute size is larger than the second. Personally I'd prefer them to be the same size as the seconds is more important than the minute to pay attention to.Not bad by any stretch. Just don't pay full price. Worth the $12~ I paid for it.

Works great for a kitchen timer! Easy to use and looks good! The only thing I don't like is the timer alarm shuts itself off after about 10 seconds.

Worked great for a few weeks, then stopped working. Would not recommend. Even with it working properly, the auto-shutoff of the display made it difficult to read

I really like it, only flaw imo, is I just wish there was a way to keep the led on while it was counting down so could see at a distance rather then it auto turning off the led

I like this timer very much. The numbers are large and easy to read. It works very well. I would have given it five stars if it had come with the batteries, as advertised.
