Farberware BBQ Bamboo Skewers, 75 Count, 12-Inch, Natural

I use these Bamboo Skewers for many things besides food. They are really good for cleaning tiny crevices. They help to turn hems in clothing. The are great for crafts. The hold enough paint for small detail work. You can write with them using various types of paint. They are great to outline a message on a cake. They are great when using glue for small areas. You can control the amount of glue on an item. This Set was very inexpensive. They arrived very quickly. I only wished that there were more skewers in the package. Otherwise, they are great.

I was a little worried, from the other reviews, that these were going to be pretzel-shaped splinters of wood, but they're apparently straight within the tolerance of what I need and solid enough.I'm not cooking with them.I used heat-shrink adhesive tubing to attach alligator clips to the dull end and then when I'm painting small parts on models I build, I use these to keep my big, old gorilla fingers away from the parts. Then to try, I stick the pointy end in a lump of non-hardening artist's clay.So far, they've performed beautifully.

Got these for making photo booth props and they worked well for that. I cut off the sharp tip with scissors and buried it under the hot glue just to be safe. I took one star off because a few of them were splintering and much thinner than the rest. There was a variation in the thickness of each one. Not a big deal but it was noticable to me.

If you don't desperately need these and have a car, do yourself a favor and drive to Kroger or your local grocery. I purchased these on Amazon and then just happened to bump into skewers when I went to Kroger to pick up milk. I paid $1.99 for the package of skewers at Kroger - these were $4.97. Sometimes convenience costs you 150% more. Just depends on how really really badly you need skewers and how hard they are to find in your area.And the ones at Kroger were nicer than these, to boot. These had several in the pkg that had shredded tips. The ones from Kroger were very nice for less than half the price.

I went with these rather than metal as I wasn't committed to needing the skewers. These were a fine stop gap measure. Use them once and then throw away. If I was to use skewers a lot, I'd make the investment in the FLAT stainless steel skewers.

I love prawns, so I use a lot of these!

Some had splinters, didn't like that at all. :( BUT overall were decent. Didn't get to use many though, maybe 20. My kids saw them, and grabbed the box, gave it a tug and *poof* all over the floor they went. With dogs and kids, not such a great thing, there was no way to save them for food purposes. They are now for crafts. They work well for that.

These looked like the thicker sticks but they aren't. They are good for 1 use but the skewers we wanted to replace were thicker bamboo and could be used more than once. I will say they aren't so thin they break easily but if using with beef and heavy things I suppose they might but it's only a might. If you don't mind thin or are wanting a 1 time use these will do.

a few splinters but pretty good quality overall. exactly as pictured and described.

just okay... weren't too smooth

I used these to make kebobs. They were chicken and tasted good. I need to add eight more words to this.
