2 1/2 Stars for Overall Success!
Was very disappointed that No printed literature or, instructions came with the product.It is very confusing to install without prior installation experience.Software for the Focusrite is a nightmare!It took me 4 days to set it up on my laptop.I would recommend to mfgr., start sending downloads on disk...this will save a lot of headaches!

Top Of The Line!
Idk why some people say “upgrade your mic pre from Focusrite or Scarlett series”. Not only is the interface professional and durable. It provides clear and industry standard quality audio. Im using this paired with Neumann U87, Sony C-800G and various tube compressors. I’ve been in the studio with Cordae, Snoop Dogg, Travis Scott and Lil Mosey and this interface was present and in use.

Unbelievable
This little thing is SUCH A MAJOR IMPROVEMENT compared to previous models. Too easy to use, and the preamp in it sounds great. I really dig the inputs being able to take a 1/4 TRS or an XLR, which makes it perfect for messing around with plugins or amp simulators. Don’t hesitate on this one, I’m positive nobody does it better that Focusrite.

What’s to say?
Exactly what you’d expect, does it’s job well. If you’re recording on the go keep in mind the power out to a mic will suck a laptop battery dry pretty quick. I also ran it into a powered usb strip, then usb to lightning converter to record directly onto gen 1 iPad Pro and an iPhone X with fairly low latency on processed monitoring. Plug n play with logic on pc, multiple DAW on Mac and GarageBand on mobile.The bonus plugins that come with this unit could pay for the device themselves.

The Absolute Worst
Not beginner friendly at all. Had countless days full of headaches trying to get this thing functioning properly. I will say the tech support when they do eventually get back to you which may take a while was helpful. However as far as a product save yourself the headache and go for the Evo 4 instead.

Great for beginners or someone with experience.
Great product. Easy to use. Had to seek help outside of the included instructions, but... It's still a great product.
