Sturdy and effective
The item is less fiddly and more effective than a garlic press although it can be hard to extract all of the little plugged bits of garlic or ginger from the holes when you're cleaning it later. It does work for ginger but you have to approach it the right way. Going against the natural fibres doesn't work very well and you end up with a squashed root which then needs slicing. Instead, cut out a section across the stem (like a thick coin) then lay flat on a chopping board and the rocker works perfectly.

Great Item
Got this as I hate the ones were you put the garlic in the wee pod then squeeze it - i could never get it cleaned properly. So this is easy to use and clean and can go in dishwasher - it’s very sturdy and I have arthritis in my hands but can use no problem as handle is easy to grip.Really minces the garlic clove.Glad I purchased it.

Great garlic crusher
This works best with very fresh garlic. Older cloves take considerably more effort to crush. That said, I much prefer this to the press style crushers. It's easier to clean and and more pleasing generally.

Best garlic press
Works better than the traditional press, in that you have very little waste. I always felt like I was throwing half the garlic away.Very easy to use and clean

It kinda does what it's supposed to
It's a nice little tool, well-made and sturdy but using it is a bit hit and miss. Most of the time the clove squeezes out from underneath when you're using it, and when you eventually manage to crush it through the holes there's a lot of garlic still left in the holes you haven't a chance of retrieving, unless you want to spent 20 minutes poking it out with a cocktail stick. It's ok, I suppose this is the price of being lazy and not chopping it finely with a knife like I've been doing for decades, and will probably return to.

An all right design
Good design and a nice idea to have the brush. I have no clue what the black rubber tube is for though. It’s not shown in the pictures what it’s purpose is, nor on the packaging and there is no leaflet. So I’ve used mine for the cat to play with.Update: both the side silver bits have fallen off after 4 uses. I’m not sure that matters for the function but there are glue blobs left in their place
