Rescue Tube Key Chain

We bought these to attach to waterproof cameras to keep them from sinking (we had someone prove that waterproof is NOT the same as floating) and they do just fine for that. You want to make sure they will counteract however much weight you're planning on attaching to them, so before you just clip your keys on and set off on your boat, try it out in shallow water - I think the only thing worse than watching your keys sink into the abyss is watching them sink ever-so-slowly, but still fast enough that you can't catch them before they vanish.Probably also a good idea to make sure you don't have anything that would be negatively impacted by submersion - keyless entry clickers, for example, are usually weatherproof, NOT waterproof..

I had to get a floating keychain because recently my canoe flipped and my keys went to the bottom of a spring. I wish I got one of these before I went on my trip. Better safe than sorry.
