This lock does not have a manual backup! If the electronics fail or reset you will get locked out.I just purchased this product last week. When I used the remote u lock feature with my phone for the first time it fried the lock and all of the codes including the manufacturer master code failed.Buying this lock cost me $200 for the locksmith and $1200 for a new door that the locksmith had to destroy to get through the lock. And a waste of four hours stuck outside in the cold waiting for him to get here and drill through the lock.Buy a lock with a backup key!!!!!!! I found some here on Amazon that also have fingerprint and key fob entry.

Pros:Very well designed and has a sleek look to it. Metal built which gives it quality feel.Touchscreen is easy to wake up with a single touch.Works with bluetooth or through wifi if separately sold gateway is installed.Has adapters to install in small and big strike pin holes and can be used without the front plate which is what I needed for my door.Drilling a hole is not required.Cons:Does not take rechargeable batteries and only runs with regular ones. I hate having to use and throw away single use batteries as I think thats bad for environment.Took me a long while to get it programmed because you only get 5 mins to pair it with your phone after doing master reset (which is required in order to pair). After pairing with my phone it would not allow me to change master and user pin numbers from factory default ones. I tried resetting and changing the pin first but then it would no longer pair with my phone so it was one or another for me. I went with an option of not using my phone but use only pin for entry since it seemed like it could not do both allow me to pair and customize my pin number. Not sure if this was a defective lock or its poorly developed system but will use for a month and see if I want to keep it.Wifi gateway bridge is sold separately for this model for additional $40, although a similar model but with a physical key is only $7 dollars more and comes with a gateway device included.

Misleading advertising. This does not offer remote unlocking. You can connect to the lock but it's via bluetooth. What this means is that the range will be limited. The bluetooth connection is very poor and I have not been able to maintain a connection with the lock more than 2 feet away.Purchased this for the remote unlocking and I am utterly disappointed.If you are purchasing with the intent of using the remote unlocking feature, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

If you are looking for an updated, high-tech locking system, this is definitely worth your consideration. If you follow the directions closely, you can have this installed in no time at all. My only qualm is that as this is a keyless lock, failure to remember the code(s) will leave you locked out. The best way to prevent this is to, of course, make a passcode(s) that you can remember. I would suggest making at least 3 passcodes that you can remember, t least 1 4 digit code and maybe a longer set for the backup codes. I do really like the idea that you can make the codes safer by adding decoy numbers before and after your real code(s), as I am always wary that my keycode will get out. Installing this took hardly any time at all, you just need to replace your current deadbolt and you are good to go.

Pros:-price-sturdy deadbolt-looksCons:-Very poor app design-Disconnects from smart phone (iPhone XR in my case) unless you are 1 inch away from the lock- No remote access with app-The only way to lock the door is to set a timer after the door is unlockedI may have just received a bad unit. Even if I had a good one, the app has such a poor design and poor user features that the lock is not worth the money. Spend More on a better lock. After all, its for you home security. The last thing you want is to leave the house to find out your "smart" lock failed and never locked the front door.

After installing the lock in the door, which was easy enough, when I reset the system all it would do was cycle through locking and unlocking for 3 times before stopping in the unlocked position. Could not change the master code without it doing the same thing. The Bluetooth function was nonexistent. The Hugolog app could not find thelock even though my phone was right next to it.Returned the lock.

Excellent choice! I been little skeptic about getting this unfamiliar brand. But It surprised me! Great quality lock! Took me few minutes to understand the pin set up but I got it. The touch screen looks beautiful on my black door.
