I bought these tripe twists for the first time way back in 2020 when my new puppy first came home and haven't really been available to catch them when they're available since then. When they went on sale recently, I immediately bought two bags. Those two bags arrived today and after seeing my dogs' excitement over them, I came back and ordered four more bags.I have four dogs that range in weight from about 15 pounds to about 130 pounds. They all have very different chew styles and intensities, but these treats don't last long for any of them. That's fine, and should be expected, as tripe isn't very tough, and these are basically like strips of shredded tripe twisted into a sort of rope.They're not hard treats. They're not really "chews" in the same way that a nylabone or knucklebone would be. They're definitely not going to keep 99.9% of dogs busy for more than a few minutes. But I've yet to meet a dog that doesn't go bonkers for them, and they make a great addition to busy boxes and other enrichment efforts.Pictures show the largest and smallest twist from one (1lb) bag with a standard business card, my hand, and my 130 pound Saint Bernard for scale. I can see why some people might dislike the pretty large size difference, but it works great for my ragtag crew.Bonus: since these are untreated single source animal-protein based treats, the ferrets and rats (and even some cats!) I've worked with have also really enjoyed these!Most companion animals have such small, boring worlds compared to ours, and $14 a pound for these treats is well worth it to bring my dogs a little extra joy.The world is even smaller, and arguably more stressful, for the millions of animals currently in shelters. In 2023, only 6 out of every ten dogs entering shelters are estimated to make it out alive. I love that Nature Gnaws not only makes interesting and healthy treats, but that they also donate to dogs who could benefit more than ever from a little enrichment and the joy it brings.

They’re crunchy and a good size. Definitely not chews, more of a crunchy snack. My dog kills them quick every time I give him one. Since they’re crunchy, some of the pieces will break off and fall to the ground. They’re not really oily so it won’t necessarily stain. My dog eats the crumbs so it’s not an issue, but FYI in case that matters.

My dog loves these. They are a little smelly but I don’t much care about that. They are short and don’t last terribly long, but you get a decent amount per pack.

My dog is picky but will eat these. Also they are beef not chicken which she is allergic. Need more beef treats and bones.

Seems to be ok for her digestive system as well.Tripe is a healthy offal. . . . why are you asking ME about scent and flavour ? I wouldn't eat these on a bet. It's the pooch that loves them, and her English is a little weak on the subject.Only thing she responds to more strongly is real tripe -- crazy for it. I've had tripe a la mode d' caen, one of the "standards" at old Jack's in SF, but it didn't appeal.

Very crunchy and my dogs really enjoy them. However I purchased them with the idea of dog oral hygiene in mind. They last for a few seconds and are smaller than expected. Smelly but the dogs found them tasty. If you want them to use just as treats they are fine but they do not help with doggy breath

My puppy loves these. They don’t last long. But he loves them.

I surprised my dog with the tripe twists to cheer him up since he was spending more time indoors to recuperate from his neck pain. My dog immediately perked up once I opened the bag and gave him one of the tripe twists. He wagged his tail as he started to enjoy the chew. Once he finished, he begged me for more! I would buy these chews for my dog again because it keeps him entertained when we have to spend more time indoors.
