The only reason why I give it 4 starts instead of 5 is because I wish they were double sided magnets so it did not matter what side you used

This product is marketed for kids as young as 3 years old, but the puzzles are definitely too difficult for that age. My child and I ended up just looking at the answer key pages and I showed her how to move around the pieces to match the puzzle. As a former 5th grade teacher, I would guess that 10–12 is a more appropriate age to introduce this set, although many of the puzzles stumped me as an adult, too.However, I wlll say that the magnetic pieces are great for travel, which is what I was originally looking for.

Puzzle is in nice bright colors and pieces are easy to handle. Size of the book is a little too small to fit the designs they are asking you to create. It needs to be about 1 inch larger to make it work, especially for travel. Also, the rhomboid piece is not reversible due to magnet placement yet it must be reversed to solve some of the puzzles. The kids thought this was unfair and led to frustration. It is not for a 3 year old - too hard. It would be more suitable for older kids 8 and up. The adults had difficulty with the reversed puzzles as well.

I packed these for my 6yr old for her first plane ride from SC to UT! Kept her busy and was fun to freestyle some designs too, but she liked the challenge of trying to match the picture from the included book. Also liked how the pieces have a small magnet to help stay in place, especially during some turbulence!

We love this toy. Bought it for a roadtrip with my 5 & 6 year old and they love it. It's small enough to travel but my kids want to play with it when we're home too. I like that the pieces are wood, the magnets are strong enough to hold them onto the book. I wish it were closed all around, because the pieces do fall out if you move it. We just put them in a plastic bag and that solved the problem.

We took this on the plane and my kids had fun with it. It was a tad small for the pieces that were given and the magnet wasn’t very strong and we lost a piece a few times. It would have helped if the magnet was a little stronger.

Like the idea with the magnets were a little stronger but they work good if they are sitting at a table over all my kiddos love it.

Son plays these at his daycare. He enjoyed playing it during traveling. Worried about the pieces dropping out of the book, so i put the entire thing in a 1.5 gal ziploc bag, just in case.
