drawers don't fit as expected.

Great desk for my small space. Good quality for the price and assembly took only an hour. Very pleased with this purchase.

Here are the pros. The desk really wasn't hard to put together (once I had the correct parts). If you can follow simple directions and use a power screw driver with a low torque setting, you can have it together in half an hour. The design is simple and the desk is small, but it serves my needs as an office desk well. The parts come packaged well and there was only minor cosmetic damage to some of the parts. If I were using this at home or my front office, I would have returned it right off the bat, but it’s used in my back office and clients don’t see it. That’s all I can say that’s positive though.The desk arrived with parts missing. Specifically, it was the rails for the slide out keyboard drawer and the component bag with the parts to put the desk together. That’s got to be the absolute QC a company has ever demonstrated in my experience. How could not realize that a large bag of screws and hardware was missing? So I called the Sauder and they said they would send out the parts via mail. I asked for an upgrade to next day and the representative laughed. I explained that I had carried the box up 3 flights of steps and spread the parts out over the office and since it was too much of a hassle to return the desk that I really needed to get this thing together, no dice. She still would not upgrade shipping. A week to get the parts and me with no desk and no office space was enough to decide that I should write this review and try to save someone else the trouble.The desk is also cheap and very unattractive. It’s not black, and it’s not brown. It’s a dark swirled mess. I sat a cup of coffee on the desk while I was setting up my computer and when I picked the cup up the finish on the desk had bubbled and the cheap particle board underneath is exposed. I truly feel it was a waste of money and if it weren’t such a hassle to take it back, I would. I hope you decide to look elsewhere or have better luck than I did.

Not difficult to assemble. Fit into our space just right. Note the drawer is for laptop storage. Doestn't fold down.

We turned our old office into a guest room and there was no more room for the huge desk we had in there. It had to be replaced by a skinny desk for a laptop/writing desk. We searched and searched and finally settled on this one. We were not disappointed.As for color, we kept "walking away" from this one because we weren't really excited about the "antiqued" look, worrying that it might look bad. Both of us preferred either black or brown and don't like the "antiqued" look. We kept coming back to this desk, though, because it had exactly what we wanted - three drawers along the side, a keyboard drawer we would use for a pencil drawer and it was super skinny, which we really needed for the small room. The only thing we feared was the color, but honestly, we love it. It looks nice.I'm so pleased with this desk. It's not a huge solid oak desk like I had before, but it's so refreshingly different and small, I LOVE IT. I would recommend this desk.
