The book is really great! It covers a lot of topics and contains really large number of exercises with answers for odd ones.

The book is fine. However, its contents (some chapters) are different from the book from the USA. If you study in the USA, do not purchase this international version.

The exact book I needed for my course. I can’t compare it to other textbooks on this topic, because it’s the only discrete math course I’ve taken. Some subjects seem a bit complicated, but I’m not sure if that’s how the book is explaining it, or the topic itself. My instructor seems to be able to properly decipher these difficult areas for us.

This is a classic text in discrete mathematics. It has grown since previous editions and now contains more material than can be covered in a single course.

There is no universe in which my brain fits after using this textbook.

Overall approach to explaining some complex concepts I found interesting. So when I read in the Preface that “The concept of homomorphic encryption and its importance to cloud computing is now covered.” I expected there would be something more than one page of definitions of a couple of basic concepts, that one can easily find within minutes on the Internet.

This book is brilliant well written. Tons of questions for practice. It is a shame you won't have this book on your course readings list. Really pleased!!!

Esta versión es mucho mejor que la original por varios motivos: 1. El precio es bastante inferior. No sé si por ser una versión india, por ser en blanco y negro, o por cualquier otro motivo. Pero al menos a fecha de este comentario, el precio es la mitad o menos del original. 2. La revisión y adaptación india contiene muchos más detalles (captura adjunta) que amplían y mejoran el contenido de la versión original. De hecho, una de las mayores quejas que se encuentra en la versión no-india es que hay muchos conceptos importantes que, o bien solo se nombran y se destacan sin mayor explicación, o bien se nombran y se le da una explicación tan escueta que prácticamente es como si no se explicara. Por poner ejemplos concretos, los conceptos de formas normales tantos disyuntivas como conjuntivas solo se nombran en un ejercicio (juraría que el de conjuntiva ni eso). En esta revisión india tiene *un capitulo completo* (1.9 en la imagen adjunta), adicional, para hablar y aclarar estos conceptos, cosa que la original no tiene. 3. No he tenido la oportunidad de tener el original físicamente en mis manos, pero la calidad de la encuadernación de éste, la impresión del texto y la calidad de la hoja son muy buenos. Lo único, como decía antes, el contenido es en blanco y negro. En algunos ejercicios se hace referencia al color azul y obviamente pues se ve gris, no azul, pero solo eso. Por lo demás y por poner algo negativo, no solo de esta revisión sino también de la original, hay conceptos importantes que tienen una explicación nula o prácticamente nula, haciendo que tengas que acudir a recursos externos para poder resolver los ejercicios o aclarar ideas. A mi esto no me parece mal puntualmente ya que fomenta que el lector busque otros recursos para contrastar información, aún así lo veo como aspecto negativo en la mayoría de casos. Conclusión: Personalmente es un gran libro y que recomiendo mucho para todo el que quiera aprender sobre el tema.
