OuterEQ 32 oz Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle

So I really, really love water bottles. Not the garbage kind you get for soccer games, but really excellent quality thermos-style water bottles like this. I did receive a discount on the product for my feedback, but that's just icing on the cake for a great product. I ordered this bottle and immediately put it to the test. First off, it feels great in the hand. The coating makes it far more resistant to scratching and of course doesn't show fingerprints. The rubberized ring on the cap is a fantastic touch, especially when you plan to torque down on the cap. I always tend to do this just because i'm nervous it'll leak, but i've had zero leak issues thus far and this style of cap certainly helps with removal.The biggest winner for me is the ability of the bottle to keep my water cold for a REALLY long time, and this bottle succeeds without a hitch. I've provided some pictures; I filled it with water and ice at 7PM and checked it again at 10AM the next morning and there was still plenty of ice! The pictures i added are from both the before and after. I love how even after sitting for 10 hours, the exterior of it does not sweat or even feel cold to the touch. The vacuum insulation creates an "air" barrier between the layers of steel. There's nothing worse than throwing a water bottle in a gym bag, only to find all of your clothes soaked from it sweating or leaking in transit. I haven't had issues with either of these.Especially at the price point, I would recommend this bottle over its competitors; it performs as well, if not better, and looks fantastic!

The insulation on this bottle is great. In fact, perhaps too much so if you're not expecting it. I put ice cold water in here the first time I used it before going to work out, and when I opened it up about two hours later to drink I gave myself brain freeze. There's a few things I don't really like about it, but overall it's a pretty good bottle. The things I didn't like:1. This bottle is very big. Don't expect to fit it in a cup holder, even the kind that's designed for bigger water bottles.2. Because of the way it closes with a rubber seal, there's not really a well-defined "fully closed" point: you can keep tightening it down to a point that's clearly excessive. It is, however, also pretty easy to screw it down just not quite enough, to where a few drops will leak if you tip it over. I can usually get it right after using it for a little while now, but I still make sure to check it every time.

The media could not be loaded.  Long story short... if you are in the market for a HydroFlask, buy this instead.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:~ If it wasn't for the logos, you would have a hard time telling this from from the real deal. The lid is a little different looking, but functionally its identical.~ Half the cost of a "real" HydroFlask.~ No mention of warranty... HydroFlasks are guaranteed for life, there isn't any mention of warranty on this bottle. In reality, its pretty unlikely you will need a warranty on the bottle itself and if you replace the lid with an authentic lid, that will be warrantied for life. Since the lid has moving parts, its likely what would need to be replaced anyway.~ The logo is obtrusive, but that's a matter of personal taste.BOTTOM LINE:I fail to see any reason to spend the extra money on the real deal when this flask is so well made. But some people like to pay twice as much for things.

I've had this bottle for well over a year now so I'm ready to review it.Functionality: My ice water stays icy cold for over a day and my hot beverages stay piping hot for well over 8-12 hours (depending on how many times I open it). Doesn't leak, doesn't sweat, no rust. Avoid keeping it in direct sunlight as the metal heats up really quick. Love wide mouth bottles because I can put ice in easily, plus easier to clean.Durability: I have dropped it quite a bit, and hasn't dented yet (unlike my hydroflask, which seemed to dent with every drop). The paint seems to be resistant to scratching as it has little to show for the abuse I put it through. The cap, however, is made of rubber and plastic, and showing signs of wear. The plastic connector between the cap and the bottle has begun tearing in half. The cap still has yet to leak though, so far so good.Value: I mainly bought it because it was cheaper replacement for my hydroflask. Works just as good if not betterSo far I've been really pleased with it. Super high quality bottle, works great. Durable. Just what I needed. 10/10 would buy again.

I've been using this item consistently for the past few months and have loved it every day for keeping my water cold and clean tasting. Previously I used a Nalgene bottle but after using this I noticed the difference between the taste of the water. The OuterEQ kept the water tasteless in comparison to the Nalgene bottle and I don't think I could ever go back to plastics again. Unfortunately, the rubber banding around the top of the bottle from continual use has stretched out so every time I twist the top to either open or close it moves away from the top. The band sits only slightly looser than the width of the top to be noticeable only when twisting it open or close. the rubber banding is very useful providing more grip when twisting to close or open so I hope that as the months pass this issue does not continue to progress. I will update should if there are any changes.
