Marinex Glass Bakeware production began over 50 years ago by Santa Marina, the largest glass manufacturer in Latin America. Located in Brazil, Santa Marina has been producing a variety of glass products since 1895. The factory location is close to raw material deposits of boron and sand which is rich in color and quality. During the production process, these raw materials are combined using heat to make borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is resistant to changes in temperatures used in cooking and baking. The raw materials also give Marinex glass bakeware a slight bluish tint consistent throughout all pieces. Marinex Glass Bakeware offers several shapes and sizes that have countless uses in culinary activities and are prominent by their beauty, durability and ease of cleaning. It can be used to prepare, bake and serve food as well as to freeze and store prepared food. It is safe for both conventional ovens and microwave ovens. Marinex Bakeware can go from the freezer/refrigerator to a pre-heated oven where the oven temperature does not exceed 100C or 212F to start. However, Marinex Bakeware should not be used on stovetop burners or over a direct flame. The Marinex Prediletta Large Square Glass Roaster has a 4 quart capacity and measures 12-3/4" x 11-1/8" x 2-3/4" with large full width handles at each end. All Marinex bakeware is dishwasher safe. Versatile little dish
Wonderful smaller size, deep glass dish. Perfect for baked goods & anything that might bubble over a shallower dish. I love it. p.s. you can now make those deep gooey brownies you see in bakeries. ;-)

Unbreakable unless smashed on the floor. Sturdy.
One can cook lasagna in here and it does stick too badly if coated with olive oil first. That's my tip of the day. Please send money to Charlie 106 if that helped you.I like the high sides for deep dish.

Buyer Beware!
Just received 2 each "Marinex 4-Quart Prediletta Square Glass Roaster with Handles, Large, Clear". This description was copied from the Amazon page from which it was ordered. A sticker on the outside of the bubble wrap stated it had a 4 quart capacity. The manufacturer's information inside identified it as a 2,8l/2.9qt size.It will hold exactly 4 quarts of water if filled to the very top edge. I can conceive of absolutely no way to cook 4 quarts of anything in this dish without creating a horrendous mess! Also just received a "Cornigware French White Oblong Casserole, 3-Quart".It also will hold exactly 4 quarts of water if filled to the very top edge.An existing Pyrex dish labeled as 4 quarts will accept 5 quarts before running over.An existing Anchor Hocking dish labeled as 2 quarts will accept 2 - 7/8 quarts before running over.Obviously capacities of cooking dishes are generally given by manufactures with an effort to account for the difference in capacity required to hold un-cooked ingredients and that needed during and after the cooking process. It appears that somewhere in the pipeline between Marinex's release of product and its arrival at the retail customer there is a fair chunk of ignorance or perfidy. If you are looking for a true 4 quart high sided cooking dish go elsewhere. If 3 quart capacity is adequate for you this item will probably be just what you want.Buyer Beware!
