ERDINGERWeissbier, 50cl

This is one of my favourite beers, and I've found it can be an entry point for people who wouldn't normally approach the idea of 'bitter', primarily because, well, it isn't..It's got a gorgeous, almost honeyed flavour, and it's smooth lightness belies its 5.3% ABV. You need to be incredibly cautious when pouring - keep the glass virtually horizontal all the way or you'll get a head like the Great Wave off Kanagawa, and if possible use a glass like the one pictured.Many friends have said to me "Oh, it's quite cloudy isn't it?" but it's just millions of tiny bubbles which rise through it constantly (right to your last sip), but despite this it's not 'gassy'.A delicious wheat beer which I'd heartily recommend.

Everybody knows Erdinger. It's a very tasty Bavarian Hefe-Weißbier, and it's good for you.Tip : Also try Franziskaner Weißbier just to mix things up a bit! It is similarly good and it tastes ever so slightly different.I like to alternate between Erdinger and Franziskaner.
