I buy Saffron for one recipe. Basmati Rice. So it's pretty much price, price, price. And even on Amazon it isn't easy. It would be way more easy if ALL items were listed by ounce price. But this seems to be worth my while. No loan was needed in the purchase of this item!!

Pretty bright red stamens.Great bouquet.Fresh.Flavor less robustNeed to use more to get the saffron flavor.Pallet is more delicate.Doesn't hold io well against heavy flavors like onion, garlic, parmigiana.It will blend in not stand out in a crowd of other competing tastes, textures dimension and smell/taste combinations.Excellent in cookies, breads, saffron butter and saffron ricotta etc.I would buy again but reserve it for less robust dishes.I would have a 2nd full formed well rounded and robustbsaffron option recipes that have many competing flavors (i.e. saffron curry barbecue and garlic and cheese croutons with a layer of saffron and jalapeno)

This product was nice because I felt for Saffron it was fairly priced as I've seen it much more expensive before.

Arrived in broken pieces. Product was contaminated with glass.

I ordered this a while ago, and it is wonderful as well as the flavor and scent. I highly recommend anyone. I will order again when I get low. A little bit goes a long way

I dislike the amount,& price.The flavor was good.

I extremely love this product. I have tasted several brands of saffron threads and this is one of the best brands that I have tasted. Color is Rich and flavor is very aromatic. I use it in basmati rice and also in sweets and it enhances the taste of the item to a totally different level. Food tastes heavenly. I would highly recommend it.

I've seen other reviews complaining that you don't get the amount shown in the picture, so I'll put this out there: saffron is an extremely expensive spice, and the product listing specifies how much you will receive (depending on your choice) in ounces - if you don't know how much your chosen fraction of an ounce is, that's your problem not the seller's. I was very pleased with my purchase, and recieved exactly the amount that I was expecting to.

I don’t know if this is good product or not. Bought it for supplement (health benefits). Would be great if there was a company that certified it as real saffron so you can be sure you are getting what you think you purchased.

Liked the texture & color - seem to be original! Tested soaking 4-5 threads in 1/2 cup of boiled milk to offer to God. Milk turned yellow and the threads did not lose their color of redness. Smelled the flavor too! If artificial red color added to coconut scrapes (happened few times) and sold, the redness goes off & the coconut remains at the bottom and no saffron flavor in the milk. Test result: positive (original).Can be added to all milk sweets and also to any rice pudding; specifically for adding to Sweet Pongal - on occasion is my preference!
