Bedford Clock Collection BED1712 Wall Clock with Pendulum and Chimes, Chocolate Wood

It's difficult to find a stylish clock, and I wanted one that didn't add extra bulk to the wall. This is the perfect combination. It has a rich quality at a low price. I read a couple of reviews that stated that the chime sounds "tinny". As I was setting the chime to the one I preferred from the 4 presets, I found myself in agreement, but I knew the sound quality would change when hung on the wall. I'm happy to say that I'm quite pleased with sound quality and I can't imagine anyone complaining once the clock is installed. All in all, it was a great purchase. The clock face is easy to read from across the room, and the chiming on the hour is pleasant.

Chime setting doesn’t match the time. The clock chimes an extra time at each hour. The company hasn’t responded to my request to find a fix. The clock is a great design but the sound is poor quality and it sounds cheap and sad. I think overall the clock looks decent but quality is lacking.

This is really a lovely chiming clock. My only problem was the pendulum kept falling off. Finally found out what I was doing wrong and the pendulum stayed on but would not swing. Re-read the instructions and saw clock must be flat against the wall for everything to work right. Did that and the pendulum swung. (Note: if pendulum still does not swing, suggest using a level to make sure clock is straight across.) A couple of weeks later, it stopped. Checked the back of the clock and somehow the clock was a quarter inch away from the wall. Pushed it back and we are really swinging now. Already have a windup grandfather clock that only strikes the time on the hour and once every half hour. Also, have a windup wooden German wall clock that chimes on the quarter hour. Great clock but it is very heavy and so is hard to lift to hang and wall must be thick enough to hold it up. As you can guess, love clocks. What I like about the Bedford Clock is the first chime on the dial "To Alice." Chimes on the hour and sounds so nice. Also, does not need to be wound.

This clock was just perfect ! Beautiful rich dark wood blended with the gold, look really nice together. Looks more expensive then what the cost is. The clock takes 4 AA bateries not 2. I love that the clock dings on the hour and not 1/2 hour too. I could control the volume as well. I recommend this highly. Matches my walls!

its a beautiful wooden clock, but I give it 3 stars because the construction of the pendulum is not the best. The round part at the bottom isn't centered and is barely being held on by a screw that either doesn't fit right or is stripped out, and the swing of the pendulum is a bit lack luster. but is a beautiful clock despite those flaws.

Love it! Super nice and very affordable addition to a wall in my Stables Building. Really like the simple pendulum and chime feature that can be adjusted to personal preference or turned off, as one prefers. Would definitely purchase again!
