Legit Wavian can
I bought this as a replacement for one that busted (my fault, not a manufacturing error). You can't really go wrong with these cans. The one I replaced was on the back of my truck in the high desert sun for 5 years. It was sun faded but the seals were still soft rubber. It failed because of the way I had it locked down (bicycle U lock eventually fatigued the side of the can). I've changed the locking setup now so it doesn't happen again. These things are the best gas cans you can buy, hands down. FWIW, I've also used Rotopax in the past...those are trash and will eventually leak (for me, within 2 years).Do yourself a favor and get the flexy metal fill spout for these. It's much better than the plastic spout that comes with them.

Best Gerry can
Don't waste your time saving money on cheaper cans. This well worth the money, unless you want gas leaking out all over everywhere.

Just What My Father Needed
First Off, I personally own 3 of these NATO Jerry Cans in green for my Off-Roading adventures in my H1 (diesel). I have used them hard and they continue to work great not matter what conditions I place them under (Weather/Dropping/etc). My father runs his own farm and as such utilizes a lot of gasoline on Tractors/Equipment/etc. Unfortunately he is continuously going through the plastic gas cans since, lets face it, they are just vapor permeable cheaply constructed cans these days. As such, my father has been eyeing my Jerry Cans up for some time now, but would never buy them via the price. Ironic really since he spends about the same amount in cheap plastic cans every 2 years. In either case, my siblings and I purchased 2 Red Nato Jerry Cans for him on his Birthday and let me tell you, this was the only gift we have ever given him where he actually got excited like a little kid and didn't say we wasted our money, as most old school fathers do. I will note that he doesn't fill the cans all the way up via the weight when lifting them up to fill a tractor, but he enjoys them immensely and even our mother enjoys the fact that you can no longer smell gasoline vapor leaking out into the vehicle on the drive back from the fuel station. In terms of delivery, they arrived a few days after the estimated date of delivery, but they are perfectly in tact and without any dents. All of the parts were packaged neatly inside of the shipping box and it arrived well before his Birthday. The only issue he had was figuring out how to install the nozzle mount to the can since no directions are included and since I was in a different state when they were delivered to his front door. Overall, I am happy with mine and my father is very pleased with his. I am sure he will utilize them for years to come. I hope this review helped.

It works
Same design for over 80 years and still the best gas can I have owned.Only negative is the poorly designed spot trying to control the vapor. Do yourself a favor and get a replacement spout that is usable, the small amount of vapors that leak out will be less than the spills you will have otherwise.

Spout attachments are terrible - Gaskets are so-so
Cans are solid and strong. I have purchased 3 cans in the past 3 months. Two arrived with broken spouts. The spout design is substandard and will not hold up to use over the years. I’ve had to order others that will meet the robust deigns of the cans. I recommend ordering can and spout gaskets as well. The gaskets provided are of medium to poor quality. There are are better gaskets available, and I have ordered 3 sets of replacement gaskets so I have spares on hand.

Excellent canister, horrible spout
Sturdy and good quality canister.I recommend you spend the $20 or so and get a modified spout for this can, the one included is horrible, and I found rust inside it when i opened it up. The good one is called "Fixed Jerry Can Spout/Nozzle built to NATO Style European Military Spec".I would buy 2 of each, 'cause two is better than one :-)

The last gas can you will need.
Couldn’t be happier with the Wavian gas cans. They are sturdy and leak / fume proof. Yes a little more expensive then plastic but they will last.

I modified my spout
I like the cans enough to own three of them. That gave me enough spouts that I was willing to disassemble and modify one of the CARB spouts into something close to the non-CARB spout available elsewhere on Amazon for a chunk of cash. I unscrewed the screw at the tip of the nozzle and the three small screws holding the plastic to the red metal. Looking inside the end, remove the small O-ring which then allows the outer assembly to slide off. I cut the inner nozzle short to get rid of an obstruction and reamed it out a bit. I the trimmed the red breather tube back and drilled a vent relief hole in the top of the nozzle near the base - the same place the non-CARB nozzle has a hole drilled. Cleaned all the mess up carefully. Works nicely.I should add that I don’t leave this spout on my can; I only attach it when I want to dispense gasoline so the whole CARB compliant feature was nothing but a pain in the rear.

High Quality Jerry Can
These jerry cans are very high quality. The weaknlink is the filling spout they come with. the plastic spout screws onto the metaland the ones i have (have bought 4 cans so far) have leaked if there is even the slightest side pressure on the spout. Will try getting a flex nozze to see how they work in comparison
