This wick fits 9oz candle jars and below I didn’t try anything above that yet
This wick was so easy to use and it has a cracking sound. It took about an hour for the melt pool to reach the sides and that’s what I was looking for. It does give off a very little slight woodsy smell, but if you scent the candle you may not notice it. I used Beeswax and (a tad of coconut to hold a scent) but with Beeswax it’s hard for scent throw. I am thinking you may need two wicks for larger jars. Don’t waste your time buying the regular wicks because they are all the same thickness just different heights and they won’t work. I will test the white regular Amazon bought wicks in a 4 ounce to see if they work I’d hate to throw them out. When testing my candle I let it go another hour or so to see if the wick stayed lit and it passed the test the flame did not go out. Don’t make the mistake I did and do about six candles at one time just do one. Fill the jar up twice with the wax you prefer then melt and add scent and test the wicks, you can remove wicks and replace them easily with an apple core, hot plate and a hot gun it’s fast and simple don’t give up…you can also use a wax and fragrance calculator to see how much scent and wax per jar if you want specifics. Keep a book write everything down and have fun. Never give up.

It's trying really hard to stay lit...
It is really really really trying hard to stay lit. I mean, this wick will stay lit for a few minutes. I will go do something and come back and it's out. So, I would keep lighting it and walking away. I would reset when it tunneled the candle and light it again to give it a true fughting chance, but nope, just wont stay lit. I tried this for 2 days and now have given up. Returning back to my search for better cotton wicks. This wooden wick thing is a nice idea, but it's a bust. It has a very faint crackling sound that can burn your hair while trying to hear it(I burn mine 😆). Also, take note...that jar of candle was intentionally left at that level, as it was a tester jar, so I'm not wasting candle wax or time trying to remelt and repeat with another wick...I would not recommend nor would I buy again.

Hard to light
The wood smells a bit like burning wood but the frustrating thing is that the wick is extremely hard to get to light and stay lit. Once the candle lights, it’s fine.

Unique
Hard to light at times. Even after it lights, it will go out a couple of times before it stays on. When it does stay on, it's great! They say you don't need two sticks together, however, my preference is to use two. It stays lit better and burns more efficiently. If you can be patient with the lighting, it makes a great candle.I love the wicked cutter. I use it help secure the wick when I can't reach the bottom of the container with my fingers. It cuts very well.I've never had wooden wicks before this purchase. It might be the high elevation here in Utah that makes it more of a challenge to keep lighted. But, once started, it's wonderful!
