Review for Hyuhome Electric Bike, 250W13A80KMfor the rest of the review, I would like to use the term ‘ebike’ to refer to ‘electric bike’.My seller review did give feedback on the support system. I have no problem with HuiYuStore, and I feel they setup my order well enough – I trust them.I know the meat and veg of this review should be the actual bike, and I will get to that, but first, I should provide a review of the support system in place.I was in the fortunate position to get my ebike well before the expected delivery between 21st June to 8th July. I ordered it on 25th May, it was dispatched on 31st May, and it arrived on 7th June – I think I got lucky, somehow, there. I had suffered a previous problem with another seller of this bike on Amazon, and so, after this, I decided to seek out the email, and write to Hyuhome direct, as they are sent from there.I contacted them because first, I was a little worried about buying an electric bike sold from China, I have nothing against China, no matter what our political differences are, I believe all the human race is equal, BUT, having previous negative experiences, I sought some reassurance. I was worried about the speed of the bike being above the UK limit. The email response came back, and I was advised to purchase the 250 Watt bike, and I should adjust the parameters to set the limit to 25 kph.Before the ebike arrived, I did receive a message from the Hyuhome whatsapp to advise that I should not take the bike out in the rain. I was totally shocked. This is the UK, and we are very well known for rain. I said to the whatsapp support that this was a deal breaker, I was not prepared to buy an ebike that cannot allow rain.I wrote into the questions section on the sellers advert on Amazon, to ask about this – and I received a number of polite responses to advise that they have to be cautious, as this is electrical equipment. AND, quite rightly so, I was then advised, by whatsapp that it is IPX4 water resistant, meaning it can actually take a certain amount of water, but not too much. They were being cautious, and I suppose they have to be. I decided to continue with the purchase.Unfortunately, since I received the bike, it has not rained. Typical! I say ‘unfortunate’ because I wanted to test the theory. BUT, I have decided to take action to protect the battery and controller, by utilising some bubble wrap and reusable zip ties to wrap the battery and controller if my ride will likely encounter rain. BUT, always have something in my bag in case of this event happening unexpectedly. I would not necessarily class this as a negative, just a minor inconvenience. See the image which shows my very unprofessional attempt at protection, but, I am happy this will suffice. It is easy to do, and cost me less than £10. A little common sense and it is possible to make these delicate parts quite waterproof.I have been given access to a multitude of videos to help me understand how to setup the bike completely – it really is very simple. I am an engineer and technically skilled in technology and construction, so I am at an advantage in being able to put the bike together easily within 15 minutes, as this kind of thing is second nature to me.If you get this bike and you struggle with absolutely anything related to the bike, just send a question to the whatsapp support, and they will provide you with the answers you need. Tell them the model you have purchased, and they will provide the respective video. I asked how to change the speed to 25 kph, and the video I got was for a different model of the bike computer, but when I advised I had the M2 version, I then got the correct instruction. I set the speed to 25 kph, and it has never gone above this speed. I can tell you that before I reduced the speed limit, I was able to reach speeds up to 34 kph – and I know, sooner or later, I would get pulled over, and lose the bike. 25kph is plenty for me, and I ride on the road only, BUT, if you decide to ride off road, you can set the speed to the max.As someone else has declared, I also have issues back pain, I have multiple issues with arthritis, especially in my lower spine area, and legs and ankles and shoulders – I am not interested in sympathy, I have these issues, I get pain relief from my doctor, life gives you what it wants, and you have to deal with it as best you can. Cycling is the exercise which is the ‘easiest’ one for me, and is my main form of exercise. I live in Wales, and I am sure some people reading this will know the amount of hills that are present here. I have ridden bikes for many years, and as I am getting older, and struggle with all these hills, and so I decided it was time to get some assistance via an electric motor and a decent battery to allow me reasonably long rides.Best decision I made, and I can tell you that since having this new electric assistance powered bike, I am now riding much further, and probably getting much more exercise than I could before.OK, on with the bike review…This ebike first experience of using power to help my old legs to continue cycling. Some electric assistance is overdue. I am not pertaining to be a ‘Rocky Balboa is back’ – but, I do feel that the ebike is going to be a significant help in getting me back to a decent fitness level.I have to say, I am absolutely ecstatic with the purchase, I never dreamed it would be this good. So much so that I have travelled further than I have in a very long time, and even though I am at the ‘excited point’ of having this bike, I doubt the novelty will wear off, because it is definitely going to help me stay active for a LOT longer than if I hadn’t bought one.There does seem to be a difference between the given battery remaining direct from the battery, and the remaining battery shown on the M2 display. I raised a concern about that through whatsapp, and was advised that I should use the M2 displayed battery remaining. They are absolutely correct, and even though the direct battery power indicates its low, the M2 display shows there is plenty of power left. It is slightly confusing, but so far, I feel confident to rely on what the M2 display shows.As for charging the battery, the power unit that arrived was a European 2 pin plug. I did send a message over whatsapp, and they are sending me a UK plug charger. I haven’t had cause to charge the battery yet, and it has lasted well over 50 miles, which I think is fantastic. I know its better to charge it full and drain the battery to nearly empty to make sure the battery life lasts longer. I expect the battery will last me longer than 2 years, at which point I will buy a new one from them. I expect the average person will easily complete this in less than 30 minutes.I am probably around a couple of stone overweight, and so this will take its toll on the amount of charge the battery will sustain, but, so far, it has performed better than I expected. I realistically expected it to last 2 or 3 days, but here I am, close to a week later, and it’s still going. I am very impressed.Please understand I am not some expert with a camera, and the video is probably awful by most peoples standards. I simply wanted to demonstrate the bike in motion while riding. I live in Wales, there are plenty of hills here, and the hill that takes me from the main road up to my house is usually a struggle to get to on a normal bike, and most times I think I am going to collapse with heart failure, it can be that difficult, but now, every time, I am hardly out of breath every time I do this, and it makes me more keen to keep going out regularly.OK, we have to understand that this ebike with a 13 amp hour battery has cost me £859 with a £20 delivery, to a total investment of £879, and so, yes, some of the parts are lower quality, but, you know what, it is still very high quality, and this ebike is going to change my life, and paying £879 to achieve that is more than worth it. The power this motor offers, and the extended life of the battery is amazing, and I guarantee that for this price, you will NEVER find an equivalent in the UK. If you can see the power the battery is still offering me, even after the time I have had it, is just amazing.I don’t think the motor is loud, yes, it is obviously an electric powered bike by the noise it makes, but, honestly, who cares? I certainly don’t – if someone doesn’t like the sound, then, eat me! I have heard some ebikes, and mine is much quieter, so I am happy with the noise pollution offered by this bike. Given that not having a petrol/diesel powered car and using pedal and battery power, I am happy that I am making a good contribution to the future of our planet by not using a fossil fuel powered car.I am certainly not looking to be a fashion icon, but, everyone that looks at this bike says how impressive it looks. So, I have had to consider this and have taken some action to prevent it being stolen. I have bought a Kryptonite M18-WL lock, which will allow me to secure the back wheel and frame to whatever bike docking is available, and the front wheel, I bought a pinhead 4 pack, to allow locking of the front wheel, seat post and front stem.I did have to adjust the disk brakes to stop the brakes rubbing, and I also had to adjust the screws on the gear changers to provide better gear changes. These things are reasonably easy to do, and if you ride bikes regularly, then you should be proficient in doing these things anyway. I expect that most people have at least one friend who could help with this if it is a struggle.The bike is very smooth to ride, when you get to hills, you just pump the assistance to whatever suits you best, I would say level 3 out of 5 is my average, and when it gets to ‘hilly’ I pump it up to 5, and when its flat, it goes to 2, I used the ‘cruise’ mode, but for me, it’s too slow.I decided to swap the saddle provided to one that suits me. I am built for comfort rather than speed, and so, I always use a padded saddle. The orientation of the handlebars seems fine, I am 5 foot 7, so a bit of a shorty for a man, but the ride is very comfortable, I switch off the front forks suspension because I ride only on the roads, but, they will offer me a reasonable comfort if I decide to switch them on. The bike is around 10kg heavier than my regular MTB, and so, I will always use a certain amount of power to overcome this.The bike didn’t arrive with mudguards or a stand, and had a European plug, but, a message to support, and they will be sending me these. What I do know is that the box was quite damaged, and it is my suspicion that there were some parts that fell out because of this (the mudguards and the stand) – an inspection of everything else, did not present any damage at all, and the actual bike was very well and tightly packaged and protected with bubble wrap all over.I honestly cannot say anything negative about the bike, or the experience I have had with the support.I highly recommend this ebike

Really quick delivery- two weeks earlier than promised. No instructions other than the computer display, but simple intuitive assembly, took less than an hour. Some metal parts look like they will scratch quite easily, however, frame looks robust and well painted. Looks amazing and rides incredibly. Incredible edible value for money and the 3 year Amazon warranty should make for a problem free riding.

Nice bike perfect for my daily commute. love the fact it goes up hills/inclines with reletive ease. it's a pretty comfortable ride with a reasonable battery life. Good starting point for someone looking to get their first e-bike and a good price.

I have owned this bike for several weeks now, and here is my assessment:The bike is good value for money. It comes well equipped, and although some of the parts are certainly cheaper than, for example, the German manufactured bikes, you are after all paying a lot less (that is before the sudden current doubling in price - until the price drops again to around £750 it obviously is not such good value. I paid £669 and this review is based on that price). The machine is perfectly usable as it is without spending a fortune.Parts like brake levers, gearchangers and so on are pretty good, and work flawlessly after a little initial tweaking (plenty of videos on Youtube). The brakes are quite good in fact, and stop you effortlessly, despite not being of the hydraulic variety. The supplied seat was swapped out immediately for something a little softer, but that was my preference. Supplied mudguards are so-so, but do a job. The rear guard is more useful in my opinion. The supplied rear rack was a fiddle to fit because some of the fixing points on it were slightly out of line. With some gentle force though holes were made to line up and bolts fitted - not too difficult.On the electrical side of things I have no complaints either. The motor is strong for a 250w, although when using higher power levels there is a little initial whine, but nothing too intrusive. The interface (s866 in my case) is a doddle to use, and quite tactile. As for battery life (13ah), I have not fully tested on long trips yet, but on a recent 14 mile trip on old railway lines (flat in other words), the battery level never moved from full charge. This was with using various assistance levels, throttle, and me being a hefty 16 stone. I have every confidence of getting good distance out of a full charge. Using the throttle is a hoot, giving quite a lot of grunt if you need it.Paint finish is good. My bike has a lovely lustre to the blue paint, and it looks like a decent depth of finish has been applied. The handle bar grips are quite solid, but do provide tremendous grip.The front forks are to me the most obvious part that has been compromised by price, and while not the greatest, they do work although perhaps with a little flexing when braking. The suspension aspect does work, but is certainly not top of the range. They are quite serviceable though.Some people have reported loose cranks and so on, but I have experienced nothing like that. With any new bicycle it is important to regularly check for tight bolts and so on, especially for the first few trips until things settle down. I happen to like messing around with machinery, and found this to be no trouble at all.When the bike arrives it does require a certain amount of assembly. Although it may seem daunting, there is not actually that much that needs to be done:Fit front wheel using the quick release systemLift handle bars up into the stem and tighten stem in position relative to the front wheelFit seat to seat stem, fit into frameFit the 2 pedalsAnd that is about it. Charge the battery, fit it, pump up the tyres properly and away you go. Bear in mind the brakes and gears may need a little adjustment though.The added extras such as spare inner tube, brake disc and so on are very welcome, although the security chain is of a pretty low standard.All in all, I am glad I purchased this bike. It does everything I want, and did not cost a fortune. I would buy it again if needed.But there is one caveat:I ordered this blue bike at the beginning of December last year, and it arrived within 3 weeks. A yellow model ordered at the same time has never arrived, and the seller refunded me without me having to ask. It was a pity, but it seems Brexit and Covid had conspired to cock things up. Hopefully the supply side of things will become smoother.I must stress, that at all times the seller has been very proactive with communications, and also quick to respond to my questions. He does strive to please, and I would have no problem ordering again from this seller.Update: Recently the seller contacted me to let me know my bike had cleared UK Customs at last and would be delivered by DPD.Unfortunately I had become impatient (and a little sceptical if I am honest) and when presented with an opportunity to aquire another bike from a different supplier I took it. I informed the seller of this and that I did not now require his bike. However, DPD still attempted delivery and on the sellers instruction I refused the bike, so hopefully that will be that.A pity I did not wait another 2 weeks before ordering my Nilox X6 but hindsight is a wonderful thing. In the meantime, my wife is enjoying the one bike we did receive, and I am enjoying the Nilox (which took 6 days to arrive from Italy).

Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist unübertroffen. Skepsis bezüglich Qualität war total unbegründet. Aufgrund der Größe das ideale Frauenbike. Wir würden es wieder kaufen.Das wichtigste, auf Emails hat der Händler noch am gleichen Tag reagiert - Top.

La bici è arrivata prima del previsto (unica nota positiva). Non si riesce ad ottimizzare la spinta del motore, dopo appena percorsi 10 km si è rotto il disco che dovrebbe leggere i giri del pedale, durante l'utilizzo segnala da display errori di vario genere motore in avaria, a volte il motore non da segni vita. La durata della batteria non conforme come da istruzioni. Ammortizzatore forcella anteriore inesistente. Contattato il venditore al momento nessuna risposta. Sconsiglio vivamente l'acquisto!!!
