Learnt to play guitar aged 10, that was 50 years ago, but never being a guitar virtuoso I resorted to playing bass in various bands over the years. Now aged 60 and with the band days behind me I saw this on Amazon and thought I might give the guitar another go. I'm glad I did, the guitar is amazing, looks great, feels great and sound great. Not sure what defines this as a beginners guitar, I'm sure a semi-pro could gig with this guitar easily! I also purchased the Boss RC-500 Dual-Track Loop Station, a couple of cheap pedals, dragged out one of my old bass amps and well. who needs a band! The only slight issue was a buzz on the low E string 5th fret, which was resolved by loosening the truss rod slightly and adjusting the height of the bridge. So you probably need to be prepared to do some setting up, but that said I think it incredible that you can buy a guitar that looks and feels so good for such a low price. Amazing value for money. Would absolutely recommend.

What can I say about this guitar? It looks stunning the weight is spot on. The quality is pretty damn good considering it's a budget beginner. Great sound and I imagine a bit of tweeking and it would be an absolute game changer. I watched all the vids on you tube and it received very good feedback. As a Les Paul copy it suits me fine for what I use it for. Deffo recommend for an avid beginner.

Over the moon with this guitar, played straight out of the box. A little dressing of the frets and very slight intonation adjustment, perfect action. Suitable for beginners and seasoned musicians alike. Purchased along with RockJam RJ20WAR2 20 Watt practice amp and LEKATO Reverb Pedal. As a Guitar luthier, I wanted to try the Donner LP in Sunburst is a popular, budget-friendly beginner, guitar included accessories are a, gig bag, strap and cable maybe not the best of quality but it gets the job done. Quality control is hit-or-miss as the one I received had sharp frets so sharp that it left scratch marks on my hand and the pickups were not to my taste but that is easy rectified. The one I got has a body, neck, and finish that were in very excellent quality but it definitely is in need of a good setup with high action and fret buzz, and the stock strings definitely need to be changed for best performance. All that said, it's a solid starting point for learning, offering good looks and decent body and neck woods for its low price, ideal for beginners (IF PROPERLY SET UP), or as a modding platform, and a satin neck finish is key for a comfortable playing feel to me. Overall I think it's not bad for the price and would like to try out the other models in the range. Thank you.

Securely packed, this guitar was delivered on time. After unboxing, in addition to this excellent guitar, there is a labelled bag of useful accessories including a strap, cable, Allen keys, plectra, and spare strings. And also a gig bag. After adjusting the intonation and string height to suit my playing, I plugged the guitar into my Roland Cube GX40 using the Clean mode. Both humbuckers performed perfectly with a very good tonal definition in the three switch settings. Overall, as with Donner products, an excellent instrument at a very keen price and the colour scheme just looks amazing. Whether playing at home or on stage, this guitar is sure to stand out.

Good guitar easy to play straight out of the box, the only thing is the lats picture shows a thumb rest but there wasn't one in the box not that I would use it

I'm disappointed with the guitar I received. It was filthy straight out the box, I had to immediately change the strings as a string was snapped, it had cosmetic issues with the body's finish and a permanent black mark on the fretboard that wouldn't come off and the frets are not centred on the fretboard. The saddles on the bridge are at there lowest yet the string action is still a bit high for my taste. I bought this as a spare guitar but it's just not that good. Pickups don't sound terrible for a budget guitar but the frets are terrible and it just feels cheap, I wish I just saved up a little more and got an Ibanez or Jackson as I know that they are quality instruments. Also the fretboard feels dry even after cleaning and conditioning it. It was also setup terrible when I received it with all the saddles out of place and a huge amount of relief in the neck which I'm guessing would put a beginner off. If you buy it and there isn't any of the issues I've mentioned than I'd say its worth it's price point but I just wish the quality was just a little better. Ive had it for about 2 weeks so had time to clean, restring and set it up to the best it can be and had time to test it so I could make a fair review of it. I think quality control and the setup and storage of the guitars needs to be a bit better for these to be considered good budget guitars. I'd say its a fair budget guitar for the price but donner should make sure the quality control is much better and they are at least setup properly. Sadly I've had to return it. I would not recommend this guitar for an intermediate to advanced player and if your a beginner than get it setup properly but unless you know somebody than it could cost you even more money so you might as well have just got an ibanez. Overall its OK for the price but the quality should still be a bit better since its was still over 100 pound. I still gave it 3 stars as 2 might have been a little harsh as there not terrible once setup and you get some nice accessories with it and a bag. Shame I had to return it tbh!

I bought this on the strength of some positive reviews. For the crazy low cost this guitar punches well above its weight. With a few minor tweeks it plays and sounds very good! Ive been playing for 50 years so have a bit of experience. Buy this and you wont be disappointed!
