I've never left a review for a toilet seat until now! You're not there long however this seat makes your visit comfortable. It is sturdy, easy to install, adjust and clean. Also pleasing to view with the added contours to the lid, as well as soft close. I'm very happy with our purchase. Best of all made, in the USA!

Love the slow close of this toilet seat. That is a great feature. It is very easy to install and very easy to clean also. Really like the weight of it being wooden, it feels very sturdy. It fits our needs and our toilet, perfect!

Nice thing about this seat is that it clips/slides right onto the mounts from the old seat. Very easy to replace the seat, and makes cleaning extra easy. Two unfortunate things. Bemis has at least 3 different mounting systems. Requires a bit of luck to hit on the correct one. Second thing is, that concentrating so much on getting the correct mount, I got a wood seat instead of the preferred plastic. Wood is okay, but heavier than plastic and the lid cannot be molded to fit quite as nicely as the plastic. But that is more a personal preference than something bad about the seat. I find that the slow close feature on the Bemis seats, a feature that we very much like, is not very long lasting. All my seat replacements (3 or 4) have been because the slow close failed.

Easy to install. Sturdy and comfortable. Great product.

This seat is easy to mount and also easy to clean because you can easily pop it off without unscrewing the mounts that go through the toilet. The closing speed is perfect. We use it with a bidet and the seat doesn't interfere thanks to its mounting system. The only problem is when my wife and I go to other people's houses, we're always slamming their lids because we forget that not everyone has soft close. We're thinking of buying more seats for our friends.

I bought 3 of these for the toilets in my house. Within 3 months, the first one broke at the hinge. Within 5 months the second one broke at the hinge. The third one is feeling close to doing the same. I’m a bigger guy at 295 pounds but these should not be breaking like this. The plastic hinges are cheap quality. The rest seems great. Easy install. Nice quality seat. But they’re only as good as their weakest part. They did replace the first one under warranty but I can’t keep doing this and waiting for 3 week delivery with no working seat each time. Will be looking for another brand.

My old soft-close seat closer mechanism broke, so I bought this one after reading how durable this one is.Pros: looks good, built like a tank, very heavy duty, and the fastener system looks as if they’ll hold the seat in place (my old ones always kept loosening). Soft close works well.Cons: VERY heavy. When I installed it, I went to flip up the seat to try it and grunted in surprise at how heavy the cover was. The old one was light plastic, this one weighs several times what the old one did. My wife is handicapped and has complained how heavy it is. If the user will be a tiny wisp of a person, or someone with strength or mobility deficits, you might want to pick a lighter plastic seat.I’ve gotten to like the big beast of a seat - it doesn’t flex at all; and while I can’t imagine why I’d want to, I’m pretty sure I could stand on the closed lid without damaging it. It has a very “going to outlast the owner” feel to it. *Recommended*

It could be Awesome, it is just a toilet seat cover, but it is nice, unfortunately, it arrived with a major scratch on it. So it looks a bit funky in my nice white bathroom.
