Read use and care. Also learn about your palate.
What I find is that some reviews will not divulge how proper usage and how coffees are roasted and the tastes involved will vary depending on how you use it. Most large batch roasters use molasses for longer shelf life preserving it sitting in a store. So a small ceramic grinder will strain with a sticky bean sitting in that grinder. I found medium roasts especially smaller batch roasts perform well and draw down a smooth cup spot on. Just maintain and you’ll get a nice cup and depending on the notes on the roast described , a clean cup will taste great. I like single origin myself with citrus notes . And no cream or sugar needed. Be willing to expand your palate and this machine will provide a great coffee experience. And the previous reviews would be less inclined to be posted.

Horrible Product and Customer Service
Learn from our mistake. We purchased this machine in May of 2022. After using it for five months, the grinder began to make strange noises and the machine would sometimes stall when making the coffee. If it was able to make the drink, what came out was not coffee, but almost pure water. It took a few weeks for Bosch to send someone out in early December and when they did, the tech determined the grinder went out because the beans we were using were too oily (we were never told this and it is no where to be found on Bosch's site or in the product's information). He said he would be back out in TWO weeks once he got the part ordered.A couple of weeks turned to a couple of months. We had to call to get updates until they finally told us someone would be out in late February 2023. The day of the appointment, the tech calls and tells me they don't have the part so he can't come. Even though they confirmed they had the part when they scheduled the appointment, the night before when they called to confirm, and the morning of when the tech called to confirm, a few hours later, they magically didn't.Then a week later, they call to re-schedule, but this time tell me they can't come until April. I told them this was getting ridiculous and that I wanted to be certain they in fact had the part. The gentleman ended up having the parts shipped directly to our home to avoid confusion. He also said he would move the appointment up to March 17th. The tech came that day and replaced the grinder along with a few other parts. Approximately one week later, same issue. Grinder makes funny noise, and now only dirty water comes out. Clearly this is more than an oily bean issue and I've had enough. This machine costs a few thousand dollars and the quality and customer service through all this has been abysmal. The last tech that came out said he'd be in touch to help and responded only once when we reached out. Once we told him the issue, nothing. Nada. Seems to be a reoccurring theme. We reported them to the Better Business Bureau in hopes that we can get a replacement machine at this point that will *fingers crossed* work beyond six months. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Once we got used to the maintenance we LOVE this
This was a big splurge when we remodeled our kitchen. At first we were dismayed and frustrated by what seemed like a lot of steps to clean the thing. We read a review for cleaning tablets wherein the guy called his machine a ‘fickle mistress’ but worth the effort. We’ve accepted and embraced the efforts and we now the relish the procedure AND the product- amazing coffee on demand.

This expensive coffee system arrived with a crack in the body of the machine.
Evidently the coffee system was not packed well enough. The machine is cracked.

Poor performance, worse
After a year of light use and regular maintenance, the machine is plugged up and not producing coffee. Bosch is completely unhelpful and we have not been able to find a technician who can work on it in our area. We’ve scoured online for all the tips and tricks we can find. So, I guess it’s just useless? Pretty pricey machine that doesn’t last.

Worth it if new kitchen or full remodel.
Decided to purchase this style coffee maker after visiting family in Europe. We had made multiple cups of coffee daily and fell in love with the machine. Bought it for our own kitchen during a remodel. The machine is elite. It is simple to use and cleaning and maintaining is quite simple. It walks you through every step of the way. Definitely should keep the manual handy if you're not an every day handy / tech homeowner. The only thing I wish this coffee machine had was an option to have the water plumbed to eliminate water refill. Like some of the reviews here not everyone skims through the instructions but even coffee bean bags themselves tell you what machine or type of coffee brewing they are meant for. We are a house of 2 coffee drinkers and probably run a cleaning cycle once a month (20 minutes, set it and come back) and we do a deeper clean maybe every 2 -3 mother's where we take out the actual grinder and soak in water and vinegar. The coffee is only as good as the beans. We splurge a bit during the holidays but have found a regular favorite in a Costco medium roast. This is single handedly my favorite thing in the whole kitchen. I gave four stars because sometimes the milk function for cappuccinos or lattes can be a bit messy when it's heating/steaming the milk. We only use the milk functions during the holidays when we have guests. I say this to everyone who asks I do not think it's worth the money if you're just adding it to your kitchen but if you are remodeling or installing a whole new kitchen it's worth every penny.

Outstanding!!!
I’ve installed this machine for someone.I was the first that use it after.Long story short I’ve bought this Bosch coffee machine and used for almost one year.Every day.Excellent. You have to be with a decent iq ( not tomuch ) and able to use the and clean ( when it ask, because is a smart coffee machine)After used for one person broke after one year ( thank God I have full 5 years warranty), and after 7 months still no feedback from Bosch. Extremely disappointed to be polite
