Lion Brand YarnMandala Ombre Yarn, Serene

I'm a new crocheter but I'm used to knitting and I've had my fair share of terrible yarns! This isn't one of them- Lion brand seem to be excellent as I've got this yarn (my fave) and also the thinner yarn in gnome. This one is super soft and comfortable to crochet with, and I've been able to frog it a couple of times as I learn how to chain and it still holds its shape together. It's very smooth to crochet with too and allows me to see my stitches- really important when your learning. The colours are so pretty too- I actually wouldn't usually pick purple but the gradient stood out to me. They are true to the pictures as well, the gnome yarn really is that bright and the purple is rich. I'm excited to buy more when I get better...they feel too nice to make practice projects with!

I was a little worried buying online because texture is super important, but this is now the softest yarn I have and the colour is absolutely gorgeous.No issues working with it (my pattern may be a little wonky but that is 100% user error!) and no knots or anything else so far.Weight is Aran/worsted, unfortunately not listed anywhere but you can find that info on their website. Also added a picture of the label as that was missing too

Nice and soft, not too chunky and really easy to work with for a relative beginner to crochet. Really vibrant, bright colours so will be interested to see how well it washes once finished.Was expecting the colours to be more of a blend considering the yarn is called Ombré, I find the changes to be quite abrupt. Also not ideal to find 2 random colours just tied together halfway through, no blend at all

I made a scarf and a beanie for my niece. This yarn is very nice and easy to work. Very soft at the touch.

Soft and easy to crochet with. Created a gorgeous, comfy scarf. Will use this yarn for many DK projects in the future. A little expensive, would be perfect with a reasonable price.

This is a beautiful wool to crochet with, the ombre effect worked out great for the project of cushion cover. I had no knots in either of the skeins I purchased. I am a newbie to crocheting, and I am sure that having a good yarn that is easy to work with really does help, it gives a better finish to the item therefore giving more confidence to try other projects. I went on to crochet some fishnet tops in this yarn but in different colors, and my grandaughter loved themso I was very happy with the outcome. I would recommend this yarn, and it will be my go-to yarn from now on

First time I have bought this type of wool. I am making a character dolls dress. This is more than perfect. it is lovely and soft. No knots in it, as yet only just started knitting with it. Very impressed. Love the color scheme throughout. Its great, nice color scheme. Easy to knit with. No complaints

I liked that the yarn easily came out of the ball. The colour transitions are beautiful.

Pros: it is a beautiful color set and it is super soft and squishy. Very easy to work with, and with the mantra worked into a granny square blanket, it looks like a ripple of water. It pulls smoothly from the cake, and isn't to slick to tie knots.Cons: The rolls I got all had been end of the rolls on the line and were connected through factory knots, so the colorway wasn't always consistent. I had to cut and piece it together at times. The yarn itself isn't tightly wound so if you aren't paying too close attention you can snag it on your hook and make a very ugly bump on your project. Granted, that could be me, but I don't usually have that issue with other brands of yarn.

I purchased 3 skeins of this yarn about 6 months ago and did a project with it.I completely fell in love with the colour and the quality and I re-purchased 16 more skeins of it to do more projectsMy only downside is: it’s a bit expensive for the weight. I do understand that’s due to import fees as it comes from the USI Highly recommend itIt’s warm, not itchy and doesn’t shed
