WizKidsD&D Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures: Wave 12: Storm Giant

Gave this as a gift for my nephew who had fun painting it and it was a fair price!

Assembled and ready to go, but i wanted to get the mould lines of and start this project. After it was primed I got to work painting. Quite the fun model and not on the usual scale i generally paint on. Definitely a great model to shake up your next campaign!

The media could not be loaded. Exactly what I was expecting. Was here sooner than anticipated. Im looking forward to painting this one.

I'm not sure the company or sculptor thinks ahead to how some of there figures can be painted because the poses or other held objects are extremely close to each other that it just makes painting it extremely difficult. As is the case with this one. Great detail, though some parts are a little too "blocky" for me (the leather girdle where it meets the bottom of the tunic, the shoulder pads- we're talking millimeters thickness).And I took it upon myself to cut away the plastic lightning the figure was holding. And the sword just to allow painting to be easier- much easier. And the base needed a bit of a tweek. It wobbled just a bit so the figure leaned a bit too much to the right. An easy fix to leverage the base, but maybe I'm just finicky.

I've started to paint this one. It came all grey and ready to paint. It was packaged well and was great. I've never had an issue with minis from wizkids.

It also doubles as a great fire or frost giant, all depending upon your imagination and paint variety

Impressive sculpt like all WizKids D&D Nolzur models. Shipped quick and great quality. Great value and ready to hit the table right out of the box. Some times WizKids characters are made from soft material and a bit out of shape. This character was well packed and has no deformities. Ready for paint right out of the package.

Nice piece and convenient not having to worry about priming it!
