My Subaru's cabin is easy to remove for air filter installation if I remember the place that I need to push. However my memory is no longer good so I search for YouTube each time -- except this time the filter came with a brief instruction to remind me how to install. Saved me 5 minutes.

Subaru cleverly located the cabin filter behind the glovebox. In fact, you need to remove the glovebox to access the filter. Dealer wanted $55 for a new filter, five times what this cost. Included flyer has basic instructions, but it's not as straight forward as described, mostly because it's hard to believe what has to be done. It's not that difficult, but a lot clearer in a video.

Basic cabin filter install. Pop off strut and depress glove box sides. Slide old one out and replace with new. Make sure arrow points up. Line up 2 hinges on bottom, slide glovebox back in. Snap strut over plastic protrusion. Close.

Vehicle: 2013 Subaru Impreza.I live in East Tennessee, and my yard is entirely surrounded by Bradford pear trees. This means that my usually-silver car is bright yellow from April to July every year, no matter how often I wash my car. I am a delicate little creature with allergies, so this is a rough time for me. However, changing the cabin air filter helps IMMENSELY. The OEM filters are a little pricey, at least for a broke 20-something like me. With this particular brand, I got a quality product with clear installation instructions, at a price that makes me want to stock up for the next pollen attack. 10/10 would recommend.

Astonishing value--O'Reilly sells similar filters for $20. Fits perfectly. Has airflow arrow and the word "UP" so no issues putting it in the correct orientation. Pulled the old one straight out with two sets of pliers on two of the plastic tabs; they don't seem to be made to compress so people who report breaking them off are putting incorrect leverage on them. Just grab with pliers and pull straight.

Dealership said it was time to change the cabin filter in my 2017 Crosstrek and wanted almost $80 to do it. Ordered this off Amazon for less then $10 while I was waiting for then to finish the oil change, and it showed up the next day. Took less them five minutes it install.

The fitment is good. The number and depth of pleats is the same as the more expensive Purolator filter I used previously. It flows noticeably better than the old dirty filter it replaced, and is cheap enough that I don't mind replacing it often.I like to install a new one before winter to ensure good heating/defrosting performance, and installing it after the leaves have fallen and the bugs have gone away ensures it doesn't just get clogged up with those things right away.

I've used the Potauto line of air filters for my car and was highly impressed with the price for quality of them exceeding OEM air filters. I decided to try the cabin filter as well. As far as I can tell, the cabin filter is better than the OEM cabin filter at half the cost. And the best part is this filter didn't create a wet dog smell for the first week like my new OEM cabin filter did.

I am impressed that this filter comes with a detailed colour printed instruction page with photos; It's actually quite detailed and helpful in case you have never changed out a vehicle cabin air filter. I've changed out my own filters for my vehicle and it's very simple; This filter is installed behind the glove box.This is an exact fit for my 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek; it very secure and doesn't move at all while installed.

The cabin filter felt just as well built as the one I took out, came nicely packed and had some useful instructions. I knew where the cabin filter was in my car so it was a breeze to install. Also comes with a sticker so you can write down when you need to replace it again in the future!
