316L stainless; better then the more common 304 stainless
I bought these to use as outdoor fasteners in a humid and wet environment in Florida. They’re 316L stainless steel which is a more rust resistant stainless compared to the more common 304 stainless. They come in nice packaging and are strong and well made. So far, no major rust and they’ve held up fine. I’ve purchased multiple sizes of this same item.

I’m using these items on my crab and shrimp pots for quick disconnects.The stainless steel should prevent rusting and work well.

Built to last a long time
Great quality! These will last on my boat a long time. Made well, marine grade stainless to prevent rusting, great for clipping and swapping anchor/chains to the end of your line. It easily clips right on, no problem!

Almost Perfect
Ordered 12 of the 2-inch carbineers. Verified that they ARE stainless steel using the magnet test. Out of the 12 ordered, 9 operated smoothly, and 3 had some degree of friction at closure. They still operated ok, but there was a little roughness in the operation. Functional, but not perfect. The 2-inch size are good for small jobs like hanging plants, dog leashes, or hooking items to your backpack. I would use a larger size for mountain climbing.

Awesome
These held up a canvas sheet all winter thru rain, snow and wind, also use to hang up projecter screens and tools. Very good quality and held up great in wet.
