PC Review, Gaming, Watching Films, Wish it was wireless :(
I actually purchased this item open box and fortunately again did well. This item was pretty much brand new, except it didn't come with packaging. That's okay anyways because I am trying to reduce my carbon footprint...I use this headset 8 hours a day + , light gaming , playing music while I work and even does well in Zoom calls. The Orbit S fits snug, the mic disconnects , well ever cable does, volume buttons are placed in convenient spots which are easy to use. This headset for me wins in design all around everything is simple to do. My buddy actually just dropped his wireless Steel Series and they somehow broke (idk) he's been borrowing this headset. I wouldn't pick another headset and I haven't even looked at headsets since I bought this.Highly recommend.

Good Audio, but Bad Build and Comfort
First off, I would like to say that my previous gaming headphones were the Hyperx II. However, for a more expensive one with 100mm drivers, I'm pretty disappointed. The audio is amazing, but sadly the build of these headphones are the worst part about it They not only felt uncomfortable to use, but after an hour, it feels like these headphones can snap at any point as its durability is bad. I gave it a 2 star because this might highly depend on your head shape. Still, I would still recommend the Hyperx 2 headset over this. They're cheaper, more durable, and reliable.

Great headset for PC, inspections need some work
Unit I received looked like brand new, minus the packaging. However, upon first putting the cloud orbit s on, I heard an almost tin-foil like sound whenever any pressure was placed on the planar driver's film. Curious, I took off the ear pads off both drivers and compared them: the left driver was flat with no creases whereas the right driver had multiple creases visible on the film. While I am willing to give the benefit of doubt because it is a renewed headset, I'm pretty sure that any damage to the drivers would mean that it will not work like a brand new one.One donor Cloud Orbit S and a few solder joints later, I now have a working headset, of which I can say sounds pretty impeccable for the cost. Solid and responsive mids/highs, and has a strong bass detail for a planar magnetic driver (at least compared to a Mad Dog mod of Fostex T50RP's, they have more punchiness to the bass). Definitely can get loud enough when connected via USB, the integrated amp/dac is no slouch at driving the headset. On aux connections the loudness isn't as great, but it is decent enough for listening on the go.As for the mic, it is clear enough for discord/teamspeak/in game chat, but the mic does not feel like it had the same thought put into it's build as the drivers did. To my ears, the processing that the mic appears have to reduce background noise also limits where the mic can be positioned for a clean signal. Also of note is that the headset will turn on mic monitoring at higher volumes: latency is low enough that it isn't an issue but the choice to have it on would have been nice.Comfort I would say is about average to what I have tried around it's price bracket. Clamping force is abit on the stronger side, but isn't uncomfortable by any means (usable at least 6 hours or more in one sitting I would say).At the end of the day I didn't HAVE to resolder a new driver to get a working unit, but in doing so gave a few pieces of information that could be useful to someone later:1) The PCB the driver is on is the same for both earcups, as is the mount for the earpads. AKA, any donor Cloud Orbit S will potentially have 2 drivers that can be used.2) Right earcup has the battery, with a easy to remove connector that's easily accessible when opened up. Huge props to Audeze/HyperX for that.3) Don't lose or bend the rubber-ish sealing ring on the driver PCB, it does do a good job at sealing up the earcup.4) Right earcup has the driver connect via a daughter PCB. The left, however is on the main PCB with tighter tolerances around it's solder points, making for a tougher resolder without a decent soldering tool.Overall, I would still recommend this particular headset, but be abit weary of buying it renewed unless you are willing to tinker with it or are patient enough to keep trying for one without a damaged driver.

Incredible sound, questionable build quality.
These are by far the best headphones I've ever used, audio wise. I'm not huge into all the intricacies of music/sound, but with the right EQ these things are absolutely amazing. But there is a fatal flaw. I've had these for about a year, I am generally very careful with them. They have a rest that they sit on, they've only been dropped (on accident, 2-3 feet from the ground) a few times, but the right earphone connector piece is cracking and falling apart. Really unfortunate since I bought these 3rd party renewed, there's basically no chance I'd get a fix.I've done some research and this is a common problem with this headset. HyperX has claimed that the 2021-2022 models have improved builds, and I've also noticed that the price for the new version of this headset has been drastically reduced so I'm very tempted to see how the "new" build is, along with buying a warranty. The sound that these headphones provide are so incredible I'm willing to look past the awful build quality though so I'll probably buy another pair.

Sound
Oh man, these are perfect, I mean at first I bought some Beyerdynamic mmx 300, well I was soo hyped to get em cuz they were expensive and I thought I would be happy no matter what, and I'm coming from hyperX revolvers, ... soo the mmx 300 I was not that impressed, sounded good, but not loud enough for my xbox Series X ,soo I returned those and just decided to keep it within hyperX and then after YouTube research, I came across these and oh boy, im happy they sound beautiful, awesome bass, nice clarity, comfortable fit, soo now I'm hooked! And the the Amazon renewed product was basically brand new with box and everything, love it!

an absolutely astounding headset....when it wants to work
first of all this is one of the finest headsets I've had the pleasure of using in terms of sound quality and seperation between highs lows and mids it was top tier for both music and games....however unfortunately they break down quite frequently and would definitely recommend some extended coverage for them if you decide to purchase a set for yourself or a loved one.
