Q: Is it good for water color or does it bleed through?

It’s a thicker woven paper material so it doesn’t initially bleed through - if you paint lightly and precisely it should be okay; however, there is a slight dye to the paper that does mix with watercolor or come off if you use an eraser.

Q: Will this journal work for water colors? Will there be a problem with bleed through?

I love this journal but the paper can be a problem. I used the last page to,test different things and found that watercolour wrinkles the paper and seems to,just fade out. There was a bit of bleed through. The most suitable mediums were gel pens or,pastels or coloured pencils. The paper is a bit fragile and very furry. I am not sure how I will use mine but I love it and it smells great

Q: Are these pages also good to write with a mechanical pencil?

No. The pages are too rough so it catches the lead. I had a slightly better time with my 0.9 pencil.

Q: Can i purchase replacement paper?

No, the journal,is handmade and has plenty of pages and is quite fat. It is absolutely gorgeous and I wouldn’t want to add anything
