The Fifth Element [Blu-ray] [Region B] [2020]

I am really happy with this DVD. The Fifth Element in all is glory, fully restored, sharp, crystal clear, great sound and in it's original widescreen format. What's not to like! It's still a mind-blowingly great film, each scene is shot perfectly and some to the shots of the city with all the vehicles flying around are mind bending. Great cast through out but the award has to go to Milla Jovovich who plays Leeloo with such innocence and fire it's hard to believe she's acting at all. If you like sci-fi that's also a rollercoaster ride then this film's for you.

Great film

So if you haven't seen this, pretty interesting story.It's a bit whimsical, but a pretty good bit of sci-fi.Mila and Bruce are good, and it's a film I can just watch and watch.What more can you say that doesn't involve spoilers?

Have this from years ago in DVD and this BluRay really is a great improvement. The picture is superb but there is no option to select alternative sound output so if sending it to a soundbar you might have issues. I just could not get the lip-synch to work and overall the sound through my HK Citation 700 was so unpleasant that I initiated a return with Amazon.If you can get the benefit of the Atmos or 7.1 soundrack then really worth buying at current bargain price. Note that there are no extras at all, just the movie which is generally entertaining but far from what might be considered challenging sci-fi. The acting is a bit rubbish, the story is nuts but the visuals help distract from all that!

Classic film, for all time.

This is a totally unpretentious sci-fi action comedy movie. It has something for anyone except those looking for scientific accuracy or a cererbal think fest.The movie shifts along at quite a pace telling the tale of how an ancient race leave something in Victorian times that will be used to protect the earth several hundred years in the future.The movie stars Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich, Gary Oldman and Ian Holm, who all do a superb job bringing the characters to life, looks truly superb and has a great soundtrack.

Um bom filme de temática cyberpunk/apocalíptica, marcante pra uma época, numa ótima versão. Talvez não agrade espectadores mais novos por ter toda uma trama e formas de atuação um tanto datadas, mas ainda assim, vale o play.

The disk holder was damaged, plastic cracked and dropped out as I opened. The disk looks fine and seems to play okay. A shame as this was to add to my collection.

I didn't know this was a class 2 dvd and not playable in the usa - be carefull to choose dvd versions playable in your country
