A WHOLE LOT OF KNIFE FOR JUST A LITTLE BIT OF $$POCKET CHANGE!!!!
Outstanding!! Excellent Knife!! Excellent!! For no more than you pay 💰 you actually get a very good knife. And I know just what I’m talking about. I have been collecting knives ever since I was given my first “Muskrat Skinner “ made by Uncle Henry, Bonner’s Ferry Idaho. I was 10 years old and back then all of us boys could carry a pocket knife to school. I own many many knives. From cheaply made to highly expensive custom made. Case in point. I own 14 different Benchmade knives. 9 Dawson knives. Little info on the wonderful down to earth Dawson family. In 1973, Barry Dawson built his first knife shop inside a dilapidated barn. Fresh off a stint in Vietnam and flat broke, he built most of his machinery himself out of parts scavenged from the local landfill. What he didn't know, he learned, and what didn't exist yet, he invented. More than 40 years later Dawson Knives has grown to encompass three generations of knifemakers, all working together out of our shop in Prescott Valley, Arizona. I highly recommend them to all high end knife buyers. And the Dawson family are wonderful to work with and sit and have coffee with. dawsonknives.com Somebody else that I have the utmost respect for and have hunted with on several occasions for Elk and Mule Deer in Montana & Wyoming is good old Pete Kohler, owner of Dark Timber Custom Knives. Just outside of Denver. darktimberknives.com as far as I’m concerned Pete is in my top 10 custom knife makers for “outdoor survival” and “hunting” Knives.” Pete is more pricey than most but he does something that I know of know that nobody else does. He measures your hand several different ways. If you go to his shop. If not you can send in your measurements. Hand open and closed holding 3 different type handles on 3 different hunting knives. I own 8 from Pete. And several others that I would be here an hour bragging on each of the other 4. :) :)

A great folding knife
I decided to finally replace my old knife, which I had nearly 3 years, and found this one. I was looking for a folding knife that was sturdy and large. If you're considering this knife make sure you don't mind having a big bulky knife. This knife is like it says in the description 6 inches long when closed and almost a foot long when open. When open it's as long as my forearm, measuting from elbow to wrist. It feels great in my hand, an exellent fit. The blade came very sharp, sliced through paper no problem. I have not tested the seat belt cutter or the glass breaker yet. The spring assist works very well, with very little effort it pops right open and locks in place. If you're looking for a typical folding knife then you may want to look elsewhere, this knife is by far the biggest folding knife I've had. I'd like to see more color options for it, but other than that I have no complaints. Update 5/9/13 I've had this knife for a while now and it's still holding up very well. The spring assist open still funtions like the day I got it. The paint will fade and scratch easily, but I didn't buy it for it's paint job or little firefighter crest. I bought it because I wanted a good folding knife, which it is. If the paint job is important to you then you will not be able to use it.

A Command Performance
Delivery of the purchase was very fast.. The knife is as advertised and then some. It is large, hefty and formidable. My knife locks securely and firmly with every deployment of the blade by virtue of the action provided by my index finger on the prominent flipper. The belly portion of the blade could have been a bit sharper. A little wet stone action will cure that very minor shortcoming. You cant shave with it that is for sure unless you are a stoic or a devout masochist. I read reviews about this knife that, as I recall, either showed or mentioned the keenness of the edge. Not evident on my knife but that is not a real issue but a reason for not giving this incredible value a full five star cluster. I would suggest getting accustomed to the action of the knife before honing up the blade. It is sharp enough for most utilitarian applications.. Oh yes, the glass breaker located in the butt is not powered or assisted but it can do the job for emergency extractions if a sharp blow is applied in the corner of a windshield.. The serrated portion of the blade is really edgy and although I have not tried it out for cutting or sawing through something I have no doubt that it would serve me well if ever needed. All parts of the knife are substantial and nicely finished from the handsome beveled spine of the blade to the appearance of the grey handle which has a sedate yet attractive TAC-FORCE embossed emblem. There is nothing to detract from the overall look of quality as it concerns this knife. I am well satisfied otherwise I would not take the time to write a review. The knife is a handful and weighty but I am a pretty sizable person and this spring assisted Knife has the potential for being a very welcome handful. A great value. I am giving TAC-FORCE and the seller a standing ovation.
