Great replacement to an older model

This was a replacement.

Was an exact replacement so install was much easier. Only caveat is that you need a smooth jaw wide adjustable wrench to keep from marring the chrome surface. Found one for cheap at a local unclaimed freight.

I installed an American Standard urinal & Flush meter 10 years ago in my man cave. For 10 years, I was never able to get the American Standard flush meter/valve to flush without a person holding the flush handle for the entire flushing process. I had a bunch of interaction with customer service & replacement parts, but never solved my problem. 10 years!!! For some reason, I was thinking I needed to keep the flushometer the same brand as urinal. I am an idiot. I was in the middle of remodeling my bathroom & finally took a chance on the Sloan flushometer. Perfect fit & flushes like a champ! What a waste of 10 years. I WISH I WOULD HAVE WENT WITH SLOAN ON DAY ONE!

I purchased this with the use of a new Decorum - American Standard urinal. I decided on this valve because of the issues on feedback from so many other users who obtained the American Standard flush valve. Im not sure what the quality is like with the American Standard flush valves, but leaking and cheap quality (make me cringe) and made me purchase the higher end Sloan model without making me feel like I was making the wrong decision. This handle includes all of the pieces and parts required to install in a new construction project (minus the 3/4" PEX fitting I needed to attach to my 1/2" PEX line and teflon tape) which I acquired at the local orange big box hardware store. This is a high end valve which will not disappoint you. It is heavy and feels like it will add a few years of reliability before needing to be rebuilt).

As on the description. No disappointment

I purchased the Sloan Regal 186-1 XL Exposed Urinal Flush Meter Valve expecting durability and efficiency, but it fell short. The valve started leaking after just a few weeks of installation, and adjustments were difficult to make. Additionally, the materials feel less sturdy than advertised. For the price, I expected a reliable product, but this was disappointing. I would not recommend it unless improvements are made.

Bought it for my clinic in the South and can’t get it to work, just to find out if the pressure is not above 10-++ psi, it’s not going to work… Check your water pressure first if if you have to, get a pressure pump just to flush the urinal

I was sold a faucet that was -already opened -box tape already cut -parts rattling in box -parts out of their packing. -Missing parts, unable to install! Extremely disappointed!
