Excellent Aftermarket Part
I was a little uncertain buying this item because it was made in China. Previously, I bought a pair of Headlight lens made in China for this same vehicle. Once installed, the lens would shake because of the flimsy construction and had to return them. But this actuator was made just like the OEM part I had to replaced. Had it installed in 30 minutes and it worked perfectly. Now, I can open the rear door on the driver side again without locking and unlocking it multiple times.

Direct fit for 2001 Suburban
This is a direct replacement for my 2001 Suburban. Mine had the child lock although I don't need it. I am not sure why the other reviewers didn't have it on theirs. I gave it 4 stars because it was sticking a bit but some dry lube took care of the problem. I am guessing it was sitting on the shelf for too long. It's so nice having the ability to unlock the door without having get in from the other side. Thanks.

Works, but not for long
I replaced the existing latch because the door open light stayed on. I replaced with this unit. The fit was perfect and the light went off for a couple of weeks. Light comes back on so I assume I had another issue. Did some tests discovered that the latch is the issue and now it is to late to return.
